Great value for my natural nails

A few years ago my mom bought me a Flowery file that was super durable and had four different sides to it. I saw the brand at Ulta and was excited to try this block, kind of a larger version of my original file. I must say, this block is AWESOME! I can use it to prep my nails before nail polish but ...

No. Just no.

I purchased the 1st one because I liked the size. I did my nails once and it wasn't very effective the next time I used it. It doesn't have a strong enough grit to truly shape your nails. It's difficult to use because once your nail goes across the surface once, that portion of the file is done for....

Avoid if you want shiny nails

I'm super on the fence about this. The first side is very weak. It doesn't file your nail down. Side two and three work great though! They definitely smooth the ridges out. But side four, imo the most important side, the shine side, does not work even slightly. Not at all. Literally zero percent. For that alone I should give this one star. This is definitely a dud purchase. I wanted to buff and shine my nails. So this kind of sucks.

After shaping nails with a separate file, I use this to smooth edges/ridges, and add shine. It really makes a huge difference in the appearance of my nails.

It's good for keeping caught up with my nail care. Don't use polish very much, so this gives a nice finish. I also appreciate the size, not to big to use, but big enough to hold easily. I also got it for a craft use. Now that I know it works so well for it, I'm going to have to get another one.

Not bad, but not the best

I've honestly used much better buffing blocks before. I've never spent much money on these because I use them a lot and I hate wasting more lol this one however seems to be fading really fast after just a few uses. I'm gonna have to buy a new one in my next Ulta order which is annoying as my last buffing block lasted me a year!! Gonna go back to the Ulta brand buffing block.
