Q
I recently bleached my hair & some got on my forehead leading to uneven skin tone on my forehead 😆. Could this help making my forehead look normal again?
Asked by Bmitch79
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hey there, for uneven skin tone you may wish to explore our Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner . However, we have not tested this product for use on bleached skin. You may wish to consult with a doctor or dermatologist prior to use. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is this good for treating melasma? Can it be combined with your other products like your niaminicide, Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% Cream & Alpha Arbutin 2% + Hyaluronic Acid? if so how to layer apply /
Asked by terry
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! As none of our products can be considered medical treatments for melasma, you may wish to discuss suitable treatments for persistent signs of melasma with your physician or dermatologist. When using these products, we'd recommend layering Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA, followed by Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and then Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%. Always remember to wear a sunscreen during the day such as UV Filters SPF 45 Serum. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is it okay to use a 4% benzyl peroxide cleanser (followed with a moisturizer) and then this product (azelaic acid)? Will the ingredients interact badly or is it perfectly safe? Thank you so much.
Asked by Katie Cat :)
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to comment on the pairing of our products with those of other brands. We recommend consulting with your doctor/dermatologist, gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time, and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Does azelaic acid do anything for milia, rosacea or dark age spots?
Asked by Suzy
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% is appropriate for Rosacea skin. However, you may wish to discuss suitable treatments for persistent signs of rosacea with your physician or dermatologist. For dark spots we recommend Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA, and As none of our products can be considered medical treatments for milia, you may wish to discuss suitable treatments for persistent signs of milia with your physician or dermatologist :-) We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Your answer to "Can this product be used in the same routine as the 2% salisylic acid serum?" was "not in the same regimen." Does that mean I can use salicylic acid in the morning and this product at night, or vice versa? Or does it mean I should not use this product at all if I plan to continue using the 2% salicylic acid serum?
Asked by ABC
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hey there! So sorry for any confusion. Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA may be used together in the same regimen as Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA has no conflicts. We believe the question you're referring to was for Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

This stuff has saved my skin

I was suffering from bad hormonal acne on my chin. I went to a dermatologist and she put me on antibiotics for three months and prescribed very agressive creams. I tried it for three months but my acne got worse. I still had the Azelaic Acid Suspension laying around and decided to give it a go, in o...

Received oxidized serum

This was my first time ordering and sadly I received an already oxidized serum which is supposed to be unoppened, most probably it's a batch that is expired as the website states unoppened products have 3 years shelf life. I will seek to return this product and hope there won't be much hassle in t...

This product really helps keep my rosacea in check and my acne at bay. If I ever manage to not use it, I always regret it the next day. This is a must have for us folks with easily reddened skin.

Great for my aging skin

Submitted 1 month ago

By SB

From NYC

I'm in my mid-40s w/ combo normal/oily skin in summertime, combo dry/normal skin in wintertime. This stuff saves my skin during the winter. During the summer I don't really use it, since our summers are super humid and HOT. That said, I can see how it could be too much for younger skin or oily skin, but for me, its really saves my skin seasonally!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
