How to Use

First off, if you are applying so much of this as to make your skin turn white and STAY white when applying foundation, you really don't know what you're doing with primer. A little of this goes a long way, and there is no setting time. It leaves your face slightly tacky right after application. Still need to blend well with whatever your foundation of choice is, and still need to use a setting powder and/or setting spray as this is primer ONLY and not a miracle worker. I've read "reviews" on here, and honestly most of them are from people that clearly have no clue what to use this for and bought it because so and so recommended it.
If your skin is oily like mine is (T-Zone only though) I would be a little more generous with the setting powder and maybe use blotting paper as the foundation can still breakup on you. But nothing major, it won't fall off or go streaky.
I've heard nothing but good things about this primer so I went out and bought it. So excited to try it and when I did I thought I'd love it. It felt so smooth to put on my face but later that day when I took off my makeup I had all these little breakouts all over my face. When I woke up it was worse. I'm returning this product asap because I've never seen my face this bad. I truly wanted to like this but my skin didn't like it. It's weird because this is the first primer to ever break me out and I've tried tons. This one says oil free and the other ones my skin liked weren't oil free and I have oily skin. Just weird how it all turned out. Use this product at your own risk

This one is a favorite of mine and has been for years, long before I started getting into more high end makeup. It still rocks.

This product goes on smooth and creamy with a satin finish. I love this product!

This primer had really good reviews, but I only used it once. It contains silicone. This is not good to put on your skin nor to rinse down the drain. There are plenty of other primers out there that don't contain silicone. I actually returned it, because when I purchased it I didn't read the ingredients. My mistake.

It made my foundation look worse.

Always get compliments on how smooth and bright my face looks. People are shocked when l tell them l just turned 70. Even on days l don't wear full makeup. Just my 2 face creams a little blush and eye shadow, hint of lipstick . The real trick is ANGEL VEIL. Seriously!

This really smooth out my face! Especially where I have large pores I do have dry skin so just make sire to moisture first

I love how it adds a filter almost look to my make up. It's by far the best primer NYX has made. And it's creamy and easy to put on

First time using it, it made everything from foundation to concealer super patchy. If you add more moisturizer before putting on the primer, you can avoid that problem. Overall I felt like it kept everything on all day, and hid my pores. It does leave a white cast but after the rest of the makeup goes on, it's not noticeable.

Very great primer for the price! Works wells with almost every foundation I have

Made me break out! Too pore filling

Works well under all my foundations. Slightly hydrating but not greasy. Does not feel like silicone your skin. Nice feeling on your skin. No pilling, no creasing.

I heard about this on YouTube so I wanted to try it but I was very disappointed. Not worth the money.

I only used the product a couple times but not a big fan of it. it gives the skin a nice look when it's first applied but then it leave a light white cast. it also leave little while lumps (of product i'm guessing) in my skins which makes my skin look textured.

This primer is probably my fave. It's not hydrating but it absolutely blurs those pores!! I've tried more expensive primers that claim to blur pores and they're just not as good as Angel Veil. Be sure to shake it before use bc sometimes the ingredients separate.

Tried it for the price (and the ratings) but keeping it for the performance! This applies easily and actually makes my pores "disappear." Works well with my foundation and even with my sensitive skin, I've had zero issues. My new favorite!

I love this product. I've used several high-end primers that I liked less. It has a silky feel and, in my opinion, provides better coverage. I keep coming back to this product, after ditching my expensive primers.

I wish I could give this a negative star rating honestly. It's a cream, which is fine, but it flakes & peels as you're applying it. I had the white peels/flakes all over my skin and in my hair line. I thought I was going to have to clean my face and start from the beginning while trying to apply my other makeup. It also left a white veil over my face after getting it blended. It was horrible. Don't recommend at ALL.

First time I tried this product, not gonna lie, it made my skin look velvety and nice. After one year of using this primer, I've noticed that my skin's condition started changing which meant that I went from oily to dry. This primer dried out my skin even more. I used to be a fan, but I'm going to look for a moisturizing primer this time.
AutumnLily from Oregon
At least it doesn't make my skin feel greasy or dry. BUT the stuff separates, so you keep having to smoosh it around in the tube before you try to get any out. Otherwise, you'll get water at the beginning of the tube, and thick paste towards the end of your use. It's a hassle!

I went into Ulta one day actually looking for a different primer that turned out not to be in stock. I asked an Ulta employee for a recommendation; I have very dry textured skin and I honestly just want my foundation to go on naturally. I'm not looking for a super flawless look-I just want my skin to look nice. She told me this stuff would be great; only use a little and it would really perfect my skin so that makeup would go on easy. It did not do this. I have dry skin so I moisture before I put on makeup, but this stuff was insane. It goes on with a white tint, which quickly disappears if you rub it in, but my poor skin looked white. This stuck to every textured and dry spot so it looked like I had white speckles all over my face. I put foundation on it, and my forehead literally looked like I was peeling from a sunburn. My foundation pilled up everywhere, and overall, it just didn't looked nice. It looked fine and did seem to help my more normal areas of skin, but I just can't wear stuff that does that to my forehead/chin. I am thankful that Ulta has such a generous return policy because I did just return this; I was never going to be able to wear it because it was just terrible for me. I don't recommend for dry/textured skin.

It's fine I guess but I see nothing special. Does this pill up on anyone else? Not for me and my dry skin. ELF putty primer is better I think.

I don't always use primer - usually my SPF serves as primer. But for longer wear or to help a foundation that's a little bit at odds with my skin, this stuff is magic. A little goes a very long way, and it blurs my skin in a very natural way. I definitely use less foundation and get a much better application when I use this product.

I purchased this product because I heard it was a dupe for the Hourglass Veil primer - which I had been wanting to try, but never purchased because of the price ($$$). The reviews online were positive so I thought I'd give this a go! After using consistently for a week, it's just ok. For reference, prior to this purchase I was using: Benefit's Pore Perfecting and Smashbox Redness Reducing Primer. The NXY primer does the best job at "blurring" but that's about it. It has a white cast when applied and I don't feel it makes my makeup last any longer compared to the Benefit or Smashbox. In fact, my concealer actually looks worse at the end of the day (I use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye). Plus, at the end of the day I feel like my foundation sits heavier on my skin. I tried using different types of foundations with this primer (all Clinique: a powder, a cream stick and a liquid) and had the same "heaviness" with each.
I'm going to continue to play around with application and amount since everyone seems to love this...but overall not as impressed as I'd hoped to be!

I have an extremely oily forehead and my foundation did not stick to the primer at all, it separated before I could finish my makeup and use setting spray
Vee from New Orleans
I loveee how it feels on my skin. It applies so smooth and does a good job at blurring out pores. It does leave a slight white cast, but once you put foundation, concealer, etc. you won't even notice it.
