FINISH: Using the rounded end of Ambient Lighting Edit Brush, dust Ambient Lighting Powder all over the face to diffuse and enhance the complexion.
BRONZE: Using the tapered end of the Ambient Lighting Edit Brush, brush bronzer along the temples, hollows of the cheeks, and jawline for warmth and definition.
BLUSH: Use the slanted end of Ambient Lighting Edit Brush II, apply Ambient Lighting Blush to the apples of the cheek.

Very nice palette for fair/light skin
The Deer Palette is a lovely collection of powders for fair-to-light skin. There are two finishing powders, a bronzer, a highlighter, and two blushes. While of course I knew these were included, I think a palette with three blushes and one finishing powder would be more useful. Also, the bronzer is so incredibly light that it might as well be another finishing powder too! Nevertheless, I like the palette and will use it a lot.
Wanted to love
I was so excited to finally try their holiday face palette as they usually sell out before I can get one. Purchased Deer since I'm usually Birch or shade 1 in their foundation and concealers. I have to really dig into the blushes and bronzer to see any pay off, and the highlighter is veeeery subtle. Love the finishing powders, but personally not worth purchasing the whole thing just for that when I was wanting a full face in one place. Packaging is weighted and beautiful though.
Barely there powders
I got the deer palette. The packaging is beautiful and weighted. Gorgeous. BUT the color payoff of the blush and bronzer are practically nonexistent. And the strobe highlight is extremely subtle. Get this if youre a collector, but pass if you actually want to get use out of this palette.
I LOVE IT
In the past hourglass made my pours look bigger. I dont know if its age or my skin becoming less oily but this is stunning. I finally get the hype! This make my skin look like i set it with mac fix plus. It looks like that beautful moment when the skins natural oils blend with makeup making it look like skin. I love this. I was worried the blushes would be too bold but both look great. Im light in the winter and fair in the summer. Fair could probably get the medium color pallete it uou like a bolder look. I liek soft and natural and im thrilled with this! Im gonna buy one for my sister who has dry skin i think its going to work so beautifully for her.
My first Hourglass palette
As a light neutral cool tone, this palette is stunning! This is IMO the first holiday palette in which all the shades are leaning neutral. If you already have one, I don't think you need another one tho. Going left to right… Dream Light is pretty but not my fave. It is very sheeny and brightening due to the lavender. More glittery than the 2nd finishing powder. Aura Light is the best powder in this palette IMO. It's more matte, slightly yellow, and looks like nothing on, but on camera is where the magic happens. It blurs & mattifies while giving the skin a sheeny glow. Diffused Bronze Light is the only bronzer I can use from Hourglass that doesn't turn orange on me. Use a dense brush with it unless you're fair. Iridescent Strobe Light looks really similar to Dream Light, but less pale and more glitter. I'm not a blinding highlight type of girl, I like subtle sheen. I usually swirl this with Dream Light so it's not as pale. Radiant Peach doesn't have any marbled finishing powder in it, but the finish is very similar to my other blushes from Hourglass. It's gonna show up as bright orange on cooler complexions, but it is surprisingly my favorite blush in the palette. Very pigmented and easy to blend. Vibrant Pink is a matte blush that is extremely sheer. This needs a lot of building up and blending even with a dense brush. It's good for when you want a no-blush blush. It's the most disappointing shade and nothing special, but I will get use out of it.
