Most Helpful Positive Review Oils have different quality I use this oil in my hair. This is the ONLY coconut oil I can use in my damaged hair without it leaving a greasy mess !!!
Over the years I used to make bath products large scale so I'm definitlely familiar with coconut oils .
Yes they are just coconut oils. BUT there are different qualities. From consistent processing temperatures , processing time and methods, to ripeness and freshness of the harvested coconuts , to the color when melted.
Kopari does not have a strong scent which is one trait of a quality oil , and is 100% CLEAR when melted , unlike many other Lower quality brands that have a slightly yellowish , or cloudy whiteness when melted.
Most Helpful Critical Review The product description says "Straight Up 100% Coconut oil" For those that are claiming this is 'more' than regular coconut oil...NO, it's not!! (lol)..the brand's description specifically states it is "**Straight up 100% organic unrefined coconut oil**". That is literally their OWN description of their OWN product. So how could anyone say it's anything 'more' ?? If you are gullible and want to pay $30 for the same organic, vegan, unrefined coconut oil that you can purchase in larger quantity anywhere else for $10 or less, because it makes you feel luxe for buying into branding and marketing- that's fine, but don't come here to misinform people that this is some superior, 'different', product. 100% organic, unrefined coconut oil is 100%, organic, unrefined coconut oil..no matter how you package it. My mom told me about using coconut oil..we but organic, unrefined, vegan coconut oil in jars at the store for $6-7 all the time and it works the same.

I thought it was completely natural and put in on face, arms and legs. I was tingling all night and itchy.
Pretty nice 4

I have this in the Tahitian Vanilla scent and it smells divine. I bought this during the winter season and I was taken aback by how solid it is, but according to a lot of reviews, the product will melt significantly once the weather warms. It already melts easily once I massage it into my skin, so its solidity isn't a big issue — it might even be an advantage because it causes less mess. I enjoyed the way this felt on my body — moisturizing yet not greasy. I can't bring myself to give it a full 5 stars though, because of the super high price tag. I understand that Kopari makes sure to sustainably source their ingredients and I think (not sure) they're fair trade, which has an impact on the cost, but I still have a feeling that it's way overpriced.
Pregnancy Holy Grail Item 5
Olivia from Phoenix, AZ
I'm going on my third tub of this stuff. First time being pregnant and my skin is always dry & itchy. This really helps with my pregnant irritable skin. I pretty much bathe my body in this stuff after each shower. Reapply on my belly twice a day. Not one stretch mark yet despite strong genetic line of women who get really bad stretch marks. If I can get by a few more weeks with no stretch marks, then either this stuff is a miracle worker or I was adopted lol. Worth every penny.
DO NOT USE FOR DRY SHAVING 2
Jes from Michigan
I used this as suggested for dry shaving and it tore my leg to shreds. I have a very irritated rash from the knee down. I used a very generous amount, too. My razor was new & I "emulsified" the melt in my hand before applying. Would not recommend, not worth the rust of a painful rash.

I have bought this consistently over the last year. Love the way my skin feels after it's been applied!
Smooth Like Butter 5
HBombz from Alabaster, AL
I just scoop a little in my hand and it melts so nicely. Makes my skin feel hydrated and not greasy. Got it on sale and will order again.
mold :( 1
lex from oklahoma
used this three times and a few weeks later I opened the plastic tub to see a dark gray color growing where I dipped my hands. I assume it was mold. I stored this in my bathroom cabinet and used it only after I showered to moisturize (my hands were dry & I use the fan when showering to prevent moisture). unfortunately had to throw it out after wasting $30. this plastic tub is a harbor for bacteria and mold :(
Bought to try on sale 1
Ck from Southern California
Applied in the morning after shower, legs were dry by afternoon. Product either didn't absorb or transfered to clothing. It is basically, coconut oil. I tried it because it was 50% off. Never again.
It's an overpriced no for me 1
Smilllller from Tx
It's straight up just coconut oil… tripled the price & that's with the skincare days half price ..
Save the plastic 2
KoPlastic from TN
Holy plastic consumption! There's more ounces used on the container than product. I know most product packaging is plastic, but this is ridiculous. Heavy, bulky, unnecessary.
it's just coconut oil 3
not worth it from Scottsdale
it's cheaper to get the same stuff from the store. look at the ingredients, the same but more expensive. I feel stupid bc I thought it would at least be a nice lotion. no, it's hard coconut oil.
This is EVERYTHING! 5

OMG…..this stuff is amazing!!! I haven't tried anything from this brand yet. This is my first purchase and I have to say, I am IMPRESSED!! My face has been so dry lately, even dry patches. I have tried several different high end brands of moisturizer but this tops them all!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! U must buy immediately!
Smells like coconut patties!!! 5
Candy from PA
Love the smell when you warm it up with your hands. I purchased this when it was on sale for half the price to try. I usually purchase ones from other stores but since I had a gift card to use I decided to give it a try. Will continue to buy more when on sale of course.

Not only a makeup remover, it can be used as all over body including hair
Enjoy using it! 4

My favorite way to use this is in the bathtub. I scoop some out and put it in while the hot water is still running. My skin is so soft after!! Wish it was a bit more reasonable though- I only purchase it during the Love Your Skin sale.
They say what they mean 5
Informed Consumer from Wisconsin
I agree with CocoNutty's comments.
•Yes, it is relatively pricey for coconut oil. HOWEVER, it's less pricey than many other products.
•Yes, it is just coconut oil, which is what they advertise.
BUT - Organic, Cold-pressed Coconut Oil found at a grocery store isn't cheap either. And I often have difficultyconsistentlyfindingthe same brand. . They also state theirs is made from coconuts found "on small family farms in Davao, Philippines," as well as cruelty-free, so there is the additional benefit of ethical peace of mind.
•Yes, it does turn to liquid when it is hot, as pure coconut oil has a melting point of about 76°.
•Yes, it may become solid and hard to scoop as pure coconut oil solidifies between 68° and 74° (depending if it needs to resolidify from a liquid.) You can simply hold a scoop of it in your hands for a few moments to make it spreadable.
•The integrity of coconut oil remains intact when going from solid to liquid.
BOTTOM LINE: If you like it, it is not an unreasonable price once you understand what you are purchasing.

I love this product; I've bought three since discovering it.
The best product! 5
A from Cary
I love this products. One, because it is natural, and it's 100% coconut oil. I love that I actually know what's going on my skin. Two, it has so many different uses, face, hair, body and if you have kids you can even use it on them if ever needed. I mainly use it to remove makeup at the end of the day, and it works great for that. It is an oil so you just have to make sure you do wash it all off when rinsing.
The Best Stuff Ever!!!! 5
Mickey from South Jersey
I've read some reviews about Coconut Body oils, lotions, melts stating you can buy organic coconut in the grocery store for a lot less money and that works too. That may be so but it does not work the SAME as Kopari. After using the small container I bought the large one. This melt is Fantastic!!! As your slathering it all over your body, it literally melts into your skin. It looks like an oil at first but instantly goes into your skin and hydrates it. AND since you're using your hands, you're moisturizing them as well. After getting all my Christmas shopping done, I bought myself a big container of this and another big container of this in Tropical. Absolutely LOVE it!!!

Alyssa from Central coast CA

I've struggled with acne for 10+ years and this product along with the dermalogica skin clearing face wash cleared all my acne!! Highly recommend for makeup remover or just an extra step before using face wash.
Love This Product 5
Steph from Oklahoma
This is 100% coconut oil, but formulated as a beauty product. I have used high end coconut oil produced for consumption that did not work like this on my skin. I put this on my feet every night before bed and my feet are as smooth and soft as a baby's butt and I'm 55. It is the ONLY product I tried that truly soothed and healed itchy skin from an allergic reaction. It absorbes quickly so you don't feel oily. It's a great eye makeup remover. I could go on and on. I swaped out my expensive organic grocery coconut oil i was trying to use on my hair and skin for this. Won't go back. It has a very light coconut scent. Can't say enough good about this.
Amazing 5
Natty from Oklahoma
I have issues with lotions making me feel sticky and not absorbing fully. This is a game changer, the smell is of mild coconut, people who are complaining about the smell must not like coconut at all. It's not overpowering whatsoever and it the best product I've ever found for all over the body. Highly recommend trying before making a judgement based on a few reviews.
An oily mess 3
TheLesliRene from Atlanta GA
It smells ok. Putting it on is a messy disaster. it's pretty much all oil. Not recommended at all, especially for the price
100% organic. When and Where is the liquid version? 5
CocoNutty from South FL
Please learn how to leave a review. Most of these comments are misleading… If you're unsatisfied and truly believe they don't satisfy their consumers it's time to make that clear and ask them to upgrade or close up shop. That's marketing 101.
I would NOT spend 28$ on this and then compare it to "Grocery Store" coconut oil that is likely mass produced for consumption. That's nonsense…
This is not for eating… so maybe it's just you!!!
It's clarifying and absorbing. Very clean, hygienic, cool and refreshing. But be patient, learn how to use! It stains clothes a little… and is notoriously not great at keeping hydration alone… but with the correct moisturizer it can be used as a "carrier oil".
This stuff helped my bags and dark circles I've hade since a kid in just a few weeks!! I'm now 27 with a good 10 years of makeup use. ( and 4 years of not sleeping in my makeup! HA!)
*** I use this as an under eye moisturizer (and it almost always removes my excess make up)***
I just suggest you get creative because coconut oil isn't easy to manufacture and almost all of it is hand made in India or over seas… I've checked!
I'm very grateful to have a great high end and organic coconut oil I can trust. I guess I just didn't like the comments because I literally own 2… wish me luck on using it all!!!
