Most Helpful Positive Review Use accordingly...
Initially I read it to be a veil so I never would use this powder to 'Set' anything! I only use it after everything is done and then I lightly dip my big powder brush one time, and swirl and bounce it softly in the cap. I swish it across my tzone and oily areas. It softens my look or harsh lines and ties everything together for a matte finish. Work, sweating, walking na k and forth all day. I stay looking as if I just applied everything....i wiuld use as a setting powder unless emergency moments
Most Helpful Critical Review COLOR CHANGE
I have used Orginal Mineral Veil for 15 years now, the last time I went to purchase, the color changed. It was a pale translucent powder, which worked for me no matter how pale or tan I was. It is now a peach orange color, which DOES NOT blend with fair skin. My daughter is a pale redhead and this made her skin look orange, looked like she had on cheap makeup! Very disappointed in the changing of this formula! There already are tinted variations, for darker skin. What about those with very pale skin, Bare Minerals???

Been buying this product for years. Out of stock at time of purchase. Store is mailing to me.
Big disappointment. Will be returning.

I'm fair skinned, with a pink undertone. This is not flattering at all. It's tinted orange, like a creamsicle. No thanks. I'll be returning this expensive, unusable product. Super disappointed.

Wow, I've tried 6 different brands of setting powder and this is the winner by far! Does what it says blurs pores + imperfections without making me look cakey. and Sets my makeup beautifully and doesn't irritate my face.. Talc-free is the way to be! I took a pic after a sitting outside during a blustery drizzly softball game👌🏼

I was expecting a light & natural feel, but this powder made my skin horribly dry! I will not buy again.
Great for mature or dehydrated skin

After I do my daily morning cleansing ritual, which includes SPF, I use a primer and use this on top of my primer and I'm out the door. It makes my skin look so perfect but under the eyes, I must use a light hand because it's a little drying.
not for me

Daily use, easy application. Only thing bad is the cost.
So far so good

I bought an off brand setting powder to use over my sunscreen since it leaves me skin super oily; however, the one I bought was just terrible. So I began searching for a new setting powder but everything has talc powder and it has been linked with lung issues, so no thank you. I've heard great things about this powder so I gave it a shot. So far, so good! My face is significantly less oily by the end of the day and I get to wear my sunscreen underneath!
reliable and good quality

I love finishing my look with this product to completely blur and make my skin look great. I have used for over a decade now.

Always have loved BareMinerals mineral veil powders, and this is a new fave. I agree with others it appears slightly darker in real life, but I have relatively fair skin and it seems to set without any drastic or unusual color change. Leaves my face looking dewy and works well with setting both the BM liquid foundation and the elf cc cream.

Holy cow it's like a fine glitter bomb went off in this powder! I was not expecting that when it said illuminating! I was hoping for more of a glowy effect. The hydrating version of this achieves that nicely without all the sparkles. Might have to return this one even though I hate the idea of returning opened makeup. Ugh
Huh??? Where's the tint?!?!
Allyson6C from Continue
What's the sense in creating this finishing powder with tint if it's not going to show up at all on the skin? The reason I purchased this is BECAUSE of the added tint. I thought this would be a nice way to add a slight bit of warmth to the skin during the colder New England months instead of a bronzer - that it could be a more natural way of adding just a pinch of warmth because a separate bronzer can be obvious no matter how nice it looks. This powder gives such a beautiful finish to the skin & I thought how nice it might be having some added tint. Well..... it didn't show up on me - AT ALL! It doesn't look any different from the regular version. I'm Caucasian w/a medium complexion (med-tan in summer) & a VERY cool undertone, which I realize is unusual (med to med-tan don't usually veer so far on the cool side of undertones) but it's because of my very cool undertone I was SURE this would show up on me, the shade - how warm it looks in the jar, is sure to create a contrast, but nope.....nothin'. It looked no different from the non-tinted version. What a disappointment. I returned it because I already have a full container of the regular one - no sense in keeping it. I understand this is a finishing powder & not a bronzer, so I even went outside in natural light to see if the tint in it did anything at all, but no. I'm guessing that if the tint does show up on anyone, it would probably be those with fair to light complexions. I'm still very curious as to how it would look on those people because I'm still very intrigued by this product or the concept of it.

I love this but it's too orange! I was hoping to find something to wear by itself but I look sunburnt.
BareMinerals Veil Finishing Powder

I am about to turn 60 years old so powder does not look well on mature skin when you use too much. But if you use it lightly after your foundation is on it looks fabulous and is set. I prefer the original "light." I know they have 2 different shades.
I will definitely buy again
Mia from Stuart, Florida
I use this as a last step to my routine to lock in makeup with a soft finish
The color is way darker than the picture
Nikki from Upland, Ca
This looks way more like a bronzer with shimmer in it. The color in the picture looks light, but it's actually very tan.
Thinking about returning it. It's so much darker than the other mineral veils.
Horrible shade - unless you like clown makeup
Berge from HNL
I typically like all their products but no wonder I got this one 'on sale'....the shade is so orange, it's ridiculous! Who wears this stuff? Threw it in the trash.
Love it !! Very light and does exactly what it's supposed to

Not a natural color for me
Dawn from Simi Valley, CA
Well, when I put this product on my face I literally looked like an Umpa Lumpa. It is very orange both on and off my face. I had read in some of the reviews that there was a recent change from a somewhat translucent shade to a more peachy shade but this was very unnatural (and orange) on me. Not a fan of the color BUT it did go on well and did not get into my pores or creases.
Perfect to finish off your foundation!

This was such a huge compliment to my bareMinerals Original foundation.
I have purchased this product many times and love it!

I use this product everyday, apply it on face and little on neck for color!

It's my own fault for thinking this was the same as the old school "ready" illuminating mineral veil. Not a fan of all the sparkle in this version. Will be returning for the regular version.
I Love This Stuff
Nicorete from So.Cal
All I can say is WOW. I use it with the loose powder BareMinerals and Estee Lauder Double Extend Wear liquid foundation. It helps minimize pores, and it looks flawless on the skin. When they said it gives an airbrush finish, I agree!
Jojo from Maryland
This leaves an ethereal (IMO) finish to your makeup. However, it is pretty drying. The glow effect isn't long lasting bc it's dry. I returned.
