Most Helpful Positive Review Great for oily skin
I have super duper oily skin, suffer from cystic acne and often have makeup meltdowns halfway through the day. I've been using Laura Mercier (spelling???...oops) and I ran out. I usually use the Derma blend in one of the darker colors (I can't remember what it's called-Saffron, I believe)....My best friend gave me a gift card and needing a new setting powder, I swung by ULTA forgetting that only *the other retail store that has the black and white colors, because Its forbidden to type it on here*sells the Laura Mercier. Well the sales lady recommended it and it was totally worth it! Hands down both products are GREAT! if you can't get to LM setting powder, try the Dermablend. Both are of great quality but I think you get more bang for your buck Dermablend wise....my makeup sets great and I don't have to blot as often with this product like I have with other brands. My face doesn't break out and my makeup doesn't crease for at least 8-10 hours. I have super duper oily skin and if I'm not wearing makeup I'm a grease ball. I look like someone slapped me with baby oil **tear**. So I can even use this without foundation and it does help keep the shine down. But preferably I'd rather use it with a foundation. Dermablend loose powder usually last me 3-5 months depending on how often I wear it. Worth the money and definitely easy on cystic acne!
Most Helpful Critical Review Darkened my concealer
For some reason or another, my under eye concealer would turn two shades darker as soon as I applied this setting powder. I tried it with different brands and kinds of concealer and the same thing happened. I know it sounds strange, but I think it happens because of an ingredient oxidizing upon application. I really wanted it to work because it felt great, but the blotchy appearance and accentuated under eye circles were not a good look.

This powder is so good. It doesn't give me a white cast and sinks right into my makeup
I love this

I love this and the banana brightening powder. Both do similar but slightly different things. This white powder is definitely brightening. The yellow banana powder is more natural and perfect for my light skin but I can see it working on every single skin tone. Whereas the white powder, if you want it to be truly translucent then use as little powder as possible. This is meant to set makeup, so truly a tiny amount is needed for effectiveness.
best powder ever!!

i seriously cannot rave about this powder enough! i have oily/dry combo skin with mild acne and this makes my skin look super smooth. i use it with the top faced born this way concealer (all over my face instead of a foundation) and it's hands down one of the best makeup combos ever. no matter how rough my skin looks, the concealer + powder combo make me look flawless. sometimes after i finish applying concealer it looks a teensy big cakey or not perfect in some areas and as soon as i put on my powder, it disappears! it also controls my oily skin (especially my t zone). also leaves no trace of color with im really happy about since i'm very pale. i highly recommend this powder to everyone to at least try once in their life!!

This product sets my makeup really nicely without me feeling like I have tons of makeup on it

Loved it. It doesn't dry my eyes area. Really like it. I apply it with a brush. No cakey.

This is my holy grail loose powder! I just love it. It keeps my makeup stay in place all day!
What is in this?! It's like magic
Josieo from Las Vegas NV
I had to come leave a review because I'm honestly so shocked at this powder that it almost feels like it's actual magic. I've gone through a ton of setting powders. I ended up loving the Laura mercier powder and I had rebought it a few times. But I decided to try a different one and this was one of the few popular ones I hadn't tried. I will never buy a different powder after I tried this.
The first day I wore it my skin looked like it was photoshopped. I just thought I was having a good skin day and didn't think too much of the powder. After a few uses I kept getting compliments and I kept looking so good. For some reason I kept thinking it was my skincare. Don't know why I didn't immediately notice that it was the new powder I was using.
It wasn't until I forgot to use my setting powder that I realized my skin wasn't looking as good as usual. Finally I knew it was the powder that was making this huge difference.
This thing is insane. It's like 10Xs better than any powder i have used. In my opinion there is no powder that comes even close to being as good as this. I have no clue what is in it that makes it so good.
Of course it made not work on every skin but it's a miracle on mine.
It blurs everything. It seriously make it look like you have a filter but in real life. Even when my foundation is looking cakey this powder blurs and it looks like it blends Everything together. I even look younger.
I swear this is made out of magic. You need to try it.
Best setting powder for foundation
Jas from Tx
I have oily skin and sometimes dry. All setting powders seem to be the same for me. This one stands out because it doesn't change the color of my foundation or oxidize weird due to my skin oils. With other powders my face would turn darker or weird texture the more I apply through the day. This one though can be reapplied flawlessly throughout the day and really doesn't need many touch ups anyway. Only because it's hot in my area I reapply every couple of hours.
good for waterproofing

I bought the Warm Saffron setting powder and mix it with the Cool Beige since I'm a little tanner in the summer. Using just the Cool Beige, the area I was covering looked too white and it really showed up. I use the Cover Cream to cover bruises which I get easily due to using a blood thinner. It really works well to conceal them and set with this mix of 2 colors of setting powders.

There is NO other powder that sets like this. For TZone oil control, this is your best friend! I don't set under the eye as it CAN be drying. But if you need a powder to truly LOCK your foundation in, and control oil, this is it!

Sorry just wanted to add after seeing someone else's comment. I have a scar on my face so hence buying the Foundation and setting power. After applying the powder my skin also went patchy and my scar was more obvious too. I had faith going by the reviews but it didn't work out well for me. I don't have super dry skin either and used a primer and setting spray and it made no difference very drying more or less from the get go.

I bought this to go with the Dermablend Foundation as recommended to. Extremely drying and gave me lines where I don't have any. Shame as I like the Foundation but it transfers without using setting powder.
Great gift from husband

My husband knows I love this powder but of course doesn't know anything about makeup. The wonderful ladies at Ulta did everything they could to help him and make sure he had the perfect gift for me.

Use to bake my under eye concealer and sweep over my foundation... then I set with NYX mattyfying spray. My face stays put all day and does not crease or budge even in the Texas heat and humidity!
To compare... I tried Laura Mercier and it failed me, didn't hold up at all! I also tried the Fenty in Banana and the hold was good but the color was too yellow!
Liz B from Parsippany
I have dry/combo skin but super dry in the winter. I used this to "bake" my jaw line because I don't bake under my eyes anymore and HOLY MOLY! This didn't make my makeup look caky and my makeup stayed put!
Valery from Virginia
the loose powder left my under eye crease less & smooth. i've always been known for taking multiple photos and i had no flashback. this loose powder made my skin look natural. 100% recommend. also it didn't smudge or rub off!!! try it if you can!!
It took forever but I finally found it!
Amberl11 from Richmond, VA
I have combination skin and I've been looking for a loose setting powder that will leave me matte in all the right places without settling into my dry patches. While also keeping my makeup in place all day, through sweat and everything. Not only does this do ALL that, but it blurs my imperfections and leaves my skin feeling so soft! Absolutely love!
Desi from Austin, TX
I use this product every morning. Recently had a an acne break out and coverage used with foundation is flawless
Newka from Columbus
It's ok. I would say this is no better than drugstore quality, I purchased it half off on the 21 days of beauty plus used a coupon and I still feel like I overpaid. It creates wrinkles I didn't know I had, the finish is far too drying and I found I have shoved it to the back of my makeup drawer.
Sweetonduke from Virginia
Absolutely the best I've ever used! You have to let it set for two minutes to achieve the all day matte look! I do my skin prime, and I use estee lauder foundation. Then I set with this powder, and finish my eyes and lips and hair before I go back and bronze/blush! Wipe off excess powder and tada! I've tried everything. This lasts forever and totally worth it. I have combo skin. Works great!
Not for Mature Skin

This is probably the worst powder I have ever purchased. I'm only 40 but this powder puts at least 5 years on my face. It settles into creases and gets cakey.
Itzel from Yakima
OMG! I think I just found my new holy grail setting powder! I used this to set my entire foundation and concealer and it kept me matte literally ALL day (12+ hrs)! This powder did not give me any flashback whatsoever and I took a flash picture at arm reach distance! None of my makeup products moved at all throughout the day and it really made my foundation transfer proof. This is definitely a better powder than the Laura Mercier setting powder (which I love too but hate the flashback)
I would buy this product again.
Kae from Colorado
I purchased this powder because I have somewhat oily skin and I don't care for the shine. It definitely helps with that. Because it is white (it actually looks like soft white powder) I use it sparingly in my oily places so I don't get a white powdery look. It makes my skin appear smoother and it does keep down the oily shine on my face all day. I am super happy with how this powder works.
Wow!!! Exceeded expectations.

I got this for blending out my contour/baking. works like a charm! perfect for someone like me who sweats a ton and needs something to keep my makeup from budging. Highly recommend.
Love this product!

I use this product before my regular powder and after my foundation. I use it in my t-zone which is the trouble spots for oil. If I wear glasses they will leave a mark on my nose but not this this stuff! The only thing is that the lid doesn't go on as easy as I would like. It cross threads easy so you have to kinda fiddle with it a little to get on.
