Most Helpful Positive Review Great for oily skin
I have super duper oily skin, suffer from cystic acne and often have makeup meltdowns halfway through the day. I've been using Laura Mercier (spelling???...oops) and I ran out. I usually use the Derma blend in one of the darker colors (I can't remember what it's called-Saffron, I believe)....My best friend gave me a gift card and needing a new setting powder, I swung by ULTA forgetting that only *the other retail store that has the black and white colors, because Its forbidden to type it on here*sells the Laura Mercier. Well the sales lady recommended it and it was totally worth it! Hands down both products are GREAT! if you can't get to LM setting powder, try the Dermablend. Both are of great quality but I think you get more bang for your buck Dermablend wise....my makeup sets great and I don't have to blot as often with this product like I have with other brands. My face doesn't break out and my makeup doesn't crease for at least 8-10 hours. I have super duper oily skin and if I'm not wearing makeup I'm a grease ball. I look like someone slapped me with baby oil **tear**. So I can even use this without foundation and it does help keep the shine down. But preferably I'd rather use it with a foundation. Dermablend loose powder usually last me 3-5 months depending on how often I wear it. Worth the money and definitely easy on cystic acne!
Most Helpful Critical Review Darkened my concealer
For some reason or another, my under eye concealer would turn two shades darker as soon as I applied this setting powder. I tried it with different brands and kinds of concealer and the same thing happened. I know it sounds strange, but I think it happens because of an ingredient oxidizing upon application. I really wanted it to work because it felt great, but the blotchy appearance and accentuated under eye circles were not a good look.

I love this product but if you feel like it's expensive you can find any cheaper alternatives in the drug store section. Still great but only bought it because it was on sale. Either than that I would not buy full price

Perfect setting powder!

I've dealt with acne for 10 years so I try to find products that are dermatologist recommended. I really love this powder! Doesn't clog my pores or aggravate my acne. Also, one unit of this product lasted me over a year which is such a plus considering the price! Definitely worth it!
Very nice coverage

It is a great powder for coverage and didn't give me any breakouts.
Best Setting Powder Ever!
Gris from Maryland
I love this powder and have gone through 6 jars. This powder is a great price for the amount of product you get and it really sets your makeup beautifully. I actually have to mix one cool beige to two translucent powders to get a color that works perfect for me (a preference thing, don't like translucent on me and cool beige isn't the right color for me). I know this sounds like a lot but this powder is worth the time, effort and money. I don't use any other powder and don't think I could. Mind you, the 3 jars last months depending on how you use it (3 jars are enough for a little more than a year for me, using it everyday but I don't bake). Use a setting spray and a Beautyblender to press over the powder and 💥, great makeup days everyday.

Easy application. Doesn't dry out my face. Sets my makeup perfectly. Last all day.
I. LOVE. THIS. STUFF.
Holy grail for oily skin!

I really love this powder, personally it looks best once it's set into my skin a little bit after putting it on. I pack it on with a cushion puff. Every other powder i've tried leaves me looking like a greasy baby, as for this powder I get a small glow *actually my oil* and it looks really natural!

This stuff is so finely milled it just airbrushes everything. It makes my under-eyes look flawless and poreless. It also lasted all day! Sets your makeup with the smallest amount. I highly recommend this to anyone! If you have dry skin be cautious, maybe use less powder and use a setting spray after to really melt it in. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Sets concealer great but makes me look dry(and I'm oily af)

If you need make up to not budge in hot, humid weather, then this will help a ton. If you need your face to have oil control setting power, this will help. If you need make up to stay put for 8-12hrs, this will help. But if you have fine wrinkles, I suggest letting a light moisturizer soak in first, then whatever make up you apply, then set it with this.
Would definitely buy again!

I DEFINITELY would buy this product again and again

After being brand loyal I tried this product during Ulta's half price sale and glad I did. Dermablend outperforms the other product even at full price and cost less than the other. Welcome to my life Dermablend wish I would have found it earlier.

I use this as a finish to my makeup routine. It's excellent, but it doesn't last me as long becuause I have oily skin. I'm needing to retouch at noon. Otherwise it does a great job! Honestly the longest lasting powder I've come across yet!
Best setting powder ever

I have tried much more expensive powders and less expensive ones as well. This is the one I prefer the most now. It took me a few times to figure out the best way to use this to benefit my 40 year old skin. I have a routine in the a.m which includes serum, moisturizer, and primer after cleansing my face and before starting my makeup. To set my concealer i first lightly dust this setting powder with a dense brush. Then I can go it for heavier baking if I choose. I also use it on a flat sponge to emphasize and clean up under my cheekbones. It gives me that nice line and makes my contour and blush look very clean. After it sits a few minutes I dust it out with a big kabuki brush. You could use a contouring brush but I don't. I lightly dust it over all of my face, excluding my eyes, to set my makeup for all day wear. I finish with one of my fave setting sprays. I am a cosmetologist and currently am wearing a mask and shield. It helps keeps my makeup on all day long. It works super well for me. I am glad I finally gave it a try.

I had tried quite a few setting powders before this and hated them all because they made me look super cakey. This setting powder is absolutely perfect...no cake face!
Kate from Florida
It is so heavy and sits in my wrinkles making them significantly more noticeable, and I didn't even have very deep wrinkles. It dries me out and makes me look 10 years older.

This powder is so good. It doesn't give me a white cast and sinks right into my makeup
I love this

I love this and the banana brightening powder. Both do similar but slightly different things. This white powder is definitely brightening. The yellow banana powder is more natural and perfect for my light skin but I can see it working on every single skin tone. Whereas the white powder, if you want it to be truly translucent then use as little powder as possible. This is meant to set makeup, so truly a tiny amount is needed for effectiveness.
best powder ever!!
lunnna from washington
i seriously cannot rave about this powder enough! i have oily/dry combo skin with mild acne and this makes my skin look super smooth. i use it with the top faced born this way concealer (all over my face instead of a foundation) and it's hands down one of the best makeup combos ever. no matter how rough my skin looks, the concealer + powder combo make me look flawless. sometimes after i finish applying concealer it looks a teensy big cakey or not perfect in some areas and as soon as i put on my powder, it disappears! it also controls my oily skin (especially my t zone). also leaves no trace of color with im really happy about since i'm very pale. i highly recommend this powder to everyone to at least try once in their life!!

What is in this?! It's like magic
Josieo from Las Vegas NV
I had to come leave a review because I'm honestly so shocked at this powder that it almost feels like it's actual magic. I've gone through a ton of setting powders. I ended up loving the Laura mercier powder and I had rebought it a few times. But I decided to try a different one and this was one of the few popular ones I hadn't tried. I will never buy a different powder after I tried this.
The first day I wore it my skin looked like it was photoshopped. I just thought I was having a good skin day and didn't think too much of the powder. After a few uses I kept getting compliments and I kept looking so good. For some reason I kept thinking it was my skincare. Don't know why I didn't immediately notice that it was the new powder I was using.
It wasn't until I forgot to use my setting powder that I realized my skin wasn't looking as good as usual. Finally I knew it was the powder that was making this huge difference.
This thing is insane. It's like 10Xs better than any powder i have used. In my opinion there is no powder that comes even close to being as good as this. I have no clue what is in it that makes it so good.
Of course it made not work on every skin but it's a miracle on mine.
It blurs everything. It seriously make it look like you have a filter but in real life. Even when my foundation is looking cakey this powder blurs and it looks like it blends Everything together. I even look younger.
I swear this is made out of magic. You need to try it.
Best setting powder for foundation
Jas from Tx
I have oily skin and sometimes dry. All setting powders seem to be the same for me. This one stands out because it doesn't change the color of my foundation or oxidize weird due to my skin oils. With other powders my face would turn darker or weird texture the more I apply through the day. This one though can be reapplied flawlessly throughout the day and really doesn't need many touch ups anyway. Only because it's hot in my area I reapply every couple of hours.
good for waterproofing

I bought the Warm Saffron setting powder and mix it with the Cool Beige since I'm a little tanner in the summer. Using just the Cool Beige, the area I was covering looked too white and it really showed up. I use the Cover Cream to cover bruises which I get easily due to using a blood thinner. It really works well to conceal them and set with this mix of 2 colors of setting powders.

There is NO other powder that sets like this. For TZone oil control, this is your best friend! I don't set under the eye as it CAN be drying. But if you need a powder to truly LOCK your foundation in, and control oil, this is it!
