How to Use

I have really difficult skin: dry patches, unsightly bumps, oily t-zone, acne, and dark spots galore. This spray has bladderwrack, which is a type of seaweed that is known for its anti-aging, dark spot reducing, and detoxifying properties. Gardenia helps moisture retention and reduce redness. Aloe soothes and calms irritated skin. The spray is slightly rose-scented, not from a synthetic fragrance but from natural rose extract. So if your skin gets irritated by perfume and fragrancy products, as mine does, this spray should be okay for your skin! Rose extract is also good for brightening and firming skin. I find that this spray sets makeup well and is a good mid-day moisturizer for my dry patch flareups. I also spray it on before moisturizing at night for those extra dry days. Mario Badescu's products have helped me so much; I am forever loyal to this brand. I've seen so many people claim that this is like "rubbing alcohol for your face" and just "fragranced water diluted with alcohol" and that is not true at all. If you actually look at the ingredients - even going as far as using an ingredient-checker website (I use INCI Decoder with additional help from Paula's Choice) - you will find that while it does contain different fragrant components (Geraniol, Citronellol, and Parfum) as well as artificial dyes (Red 33 and Blue 1), it also contains several soothing and hydrating ingredients, such as Aloe (which moisturizes and is a great anti-inflammatory), Rosa Canina [Rose Hip] Oil / Extract (which is a natural source of Vitamin C that can repair fine lines and pigmentation, improve texture, and hydrate the skin), Thymus Vulgaris Leaf Extract (which has antimicrobial properties, ideal for acne), and Fucus Vesiculosus [Bladderwrack] Extract (which protects the skin from pollutants).
