I had/have cystic acne. I’ve gotten it under control now. I use a foaming facial cleanser.

I love PanOxyl acne foaming wash! I also always double cleanse with an oil cleaner first, really has helped!

An acne face cleanser with benzoyl peroxide can actually kill the bacteria that is causing the acne. I also like the cleansers from PanOxyl. You might want to try the one that is only 5% B.P. first, and work your way up to the 10% to be careful about irritation. I agree with double-cleansing to get off sunscreen, makeup and daily oil and dirt first. Then use the acne cleanser and let it sit in your skin for a minute or two before rinsing off. It really helped me clear up my skin.
