Most Helpful Positive Review Flawless with Angel Veil
I work 14 hour overnight shifts and this is ESSENTIAL on those nights! My makeup looks flawless until I wash it off... literally, like I just applied it! The name really does say it all... i have a very uneven skin tone & this blurs all of my little flaws perfectly!
Most Helpful Critical Review No! just no.
I just got this in the mail today and it's an opaque white! This needs to be listed somewhere in the description so this brown girls will be aware when considering purchase. Also, it doesn't apply well at all, it flakes of while applying it you the skin and I was left with a whitish cast on my skin, no bueno.

I heard about this on YouTube so I wanted to try it but I was very disappointed. Not worth the money.

I only used the product a couple times but not a big fan of it. it gives the skin a nice look when it's first applied but then it leave a light white cast. it also leave little while lumps (of product i'm guessing) in my skins which makes my skin look textured.

This primer is probably my fave. It's not hydrating but it absolutely blurs those pores!! I've tried more expensive primers that claim to blur pores and they're just not as good as Angel Veil. Be sure to shake it before use bc sometimes the ingredients separate.
Finally found a primer that works!
Maria from Florida
Tried it for the price (and the ratings) but keeping it for the performance! This applies easily and actually makes my pores "disappear." Works well with my foundation and even with my sensitive skin, I've had zero issues. My new favorite!
I keep coming back to this product!
Georgia from Florida
I love this product. I've used several high-end primers that I liked less. It has a silky feel and, in my opinion, provides better coverage. I keep coming back to this product, after ditching my expensive primers.
Do not waste your money!!

I wish I could give this a negative star rating honestly. It's a cream, which is fine, but it flakes & peels as you're applying it. I had the white peels/flakes all over my skin and in my hair line. I thought I was going to have to clean my face and start from the beginning while trying to apply my other makeup. It also left a white veil over my face after getting it blended. It was horrible. Don't recommend at ALL.

First time I tried this product, not gonna lie, it made my skin look velvety and nice. After one year of using this primer, I've noticed that my skin's condition started changing which meant that I went from oily to dry. This primer dried out my skin even more. I used to be a fan, but I'm going to look for a moisturizing primer this time.
The stuff separates
AutumnLily from Oregon
At least it doesn't make my skin feel greasy or dry. BUT the stuff separates, so you keep having to smoosh it around in the tube before you try to get any out. Otherwise, you'll get water at the beginning of the tube, and thick paste towards the end of your use. It's a hassle!
Not for Dry textured skin
PlanieJane from LA, California
I went into Ulta one day actually looking for a different primer that turned out not to be in stock. I asked an Ulta employee for a recommendation; I have very dry textured skin and I honestly just want my foundation to go on naturally. I'm not looking for a super flawless look-I just want my skin to look nice. She told me this stuff would be great; only use a little and it would really perfect my skin so that makeup would go on easy. It did not do this. I have dry skin so I moisture before I put on makeup, but this stuff was insane. It goes on with a white tint, which quickly disappears if you rub it in, but my poor skin looked white. This stuck to every textured and dry spot so it looked like I had white speckles all over my face. I put foundation on it, and my forehead literally looked like I was peeling from a sunburn. My foundation pilled up everywhere, and overall, it just didn't looked nice. It looked fine and did seem to help my more normal areas of skin, but I just can't wear stuff that does that to my forehead/chin. I am thankful that Ulta has such a generous return policy because I did just return this; I was never going to be able to wear it because it was just terrible for me. I don't recommend for dry/textured skin.
Meh, it's ok
Keifer from Oklahoma
It's fine I guess but I see nothing special. Does this pill up on anyone else? Not for me and my dry skin. ELF putty primer is better I think.
Only primer I use
K. Little from Oakland, CA
I don't always use primer - usually my SPF serves as primer. But for longer wear or to help a foundation that's a little bit at odds with my skin, this stuff is magic. A little goes a very long way, and it blurs my skin in a very natural way. I definitely use less foundation and get a much better application when I use this product.

I purchased this product because I heard it was a dupe for the Hourglass Veil primer - which I had been wanting to try, but never purchased because of the price ($$$). The reviews online were positive so I thought I'd give this a go! After using consistently for a week, it's just ok. For reference, prior to this purchase I was using: Benefit's Pore Perfecting and Smashbox Redness Reducing Primer. The NXY primer does the best job at "blurring" but that's about it. It has a white cast when applied and I don't feel it makes my makeup last any longer compared to the Benefit or Smashbox. In fact, my concealer actually looks worse at the end of the day (I use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye). Plus, at the end of the day I feel like my foundation sits heavier on my skin. I tried using different types of foundations with this primer (all Clinique: a powder, a cream stick and a liquid) and had the same "heaviness" with each.
I'm going to continue to play around with application and amount since everyone seems to love this...but overall not as impressed as I'd hoped to be!
Feels amazing but didn't work
De13 from US
I have an extremely oily forehead and my foundation did not stick to the primer at all, it separated before I could finish my makeup and use setting spray
Smooth, Velvety Finish
Vee from New Orleans
I loveee how it feels on my skin. It applies so smooth and does a good job at blurring out pores. It does leave a slight white cast, but once you put foundation, concealer, etc. you won't even notice it.
Awesome dupe for Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer
Melissa from Watertown, NY
I've been using the Hourglass Veil Primer for years, and I've decided to find something more affordable. This was suggested as a dupe, so I picked it up on the day my local Ulta opened back up. The consistency of this primer is a bit different than Hourglass, but that's not a con. This primer does reek though. Like it smells horrendous... but it keeps my makeup looking excellent for at least ten hours, even in the heat/humidity, so I can overlook it.

I really like this primer, very velvety going on my skin. The only issue I have is it's alittle watery

only thing to ever make me breakout
Gracie sue from Kansas
it blurs imperfections really well, however it made me break out on my forehead, a d I've never had any product make me breakout before. I don't know what it was but it happened during my second tube. also if you don't use it you fast it will dry out and become really chalky and hard to spread
Good primer but breakouts
Lou from Southern La
This primer feels good and sinks into skin beautifully. The only problem I have is the closed comedones that pop up after every use!
My favorite primer
Maddiemay from North West Arkansas
I was honestly so surprised to see the bad reviews on this primer. I love it. I have very oily skin and it keeps my foundation in place all day. I love the texture of it, very soft and almost mousse like. Anytime I'm trying out a new foundation I make sure I'm using this primer.
im not sure why the reviews are so bad
sam< 3 from az
lol, my skin is normal with a lil texture (kp on my cheeks) and this rlly helps with smoothing. it blurs and makes my texture less noticeable and my skin more soft. the ONE thing i dont like is how expensive it is?? nyx out here getting bold. it's more of a $7-12 product, def not almost 20. i'd rather pay a lil extra for a high end product but, it's still good.
Make my foundation look amazing

This is seriously the best primer
Too expensive for something that doesn't work
JJ from WA
It made my face look super white and powdery didnt do much blurring and it kind of balled up, would of seen better results with baby powder..
Good but runny
Andy from Seattle
This is great although sometimes I go to squeeze it and it comes out as pure liquid. Given the packaging it doesn't really allow you to shake it up very well. From what I can tell is a good primer.
Paula from Knoxville
Though I like the way the lotion feels on my skin, this product separates, as in part is a watery fluid and part cream. I've tried shaking it as well as massaging the tube. It helped some but didn't completely blend.
