Most Helpful Positive Review Pretty good I just received two pots from when they were recently restocked. You can see from the pics that it did practically erase my huge pores but you have to use very little.
At first, I was a bit heavy handed and used a cover-up brush expecting a thicker, putty consistency. It was much thinner than the website picture and putting on heavy made it impossible to put on foundation.
Next time, I tried using very little and dipped my sponge in it. Tapping it on worked well. Then used other side of sponge to tap and smooth on the foundation.
So pretty good overall. I am not blown away yet but it may be something I need to play with to find what works for me :)
Most Helpful Critical Review I want to hide under a rock I was so excited to try this primer because I have pretty large pores. It did okay and blurred them some what, not better than silicone primers to be honest. A couple of days later I noticed some pimples and thought it was just from stress, then literally two days later after using it I got acne all over my face, and I have never been the type to really get full blown acne, but it's huge and all over my face, it looks like I have going through puberty again, and I'm super embarrassed. I clean my face twice a day and take really good care of my skin, but never in my life had a product or anything make me break out those bad. I understand it's a pores filler but once I take my make up off I notice mire pimples that have formed. It's just not for me what so ever.

My husband even noticed how smooth and flawless this made my skin look.
My go-to primer 5
Kappy from Pennsylvania
I was surprised to read some other people had issues with this primer. I have mature, very dry, and sensitive skin and I absolutely love this product. I didn't experience any irritation and it gives my skin a nice smooth look. I apply it over the It Cosmetics Confidence In a Gel lotion, once the lotion has dried completely, and it works great.

This product caused what felt like a chemical burn almost 30 minutes after I put it on (which is what the recommended wait time before adding foundation on top btw). My skin has now been peeling like never before and new pimples have appeared on my cheek + by my jaw line which is where I first applied it. My skin has never burned so much before, and this was the only new product out of my routine that I have added.
Not good 1

I wanted to try this primer because I love the smash box pore less primer and I thought this would be a good cheaper alternative but it wasn't. I have oily skin it made my foundation look weird on my skin and broke up pretty bad around my nose after a few hours. So I just switched back to smash box. I also broke out with acne I'm not sure if it was this or the salicylic cleanser I was starting to use.
DONT RECOMMEND 1

Don't recommend this product for people with dry skin. Idk if your skin type has do with the results of the product but it didn't work for me, who has dry skin. This gave me a terrible huge pimple on my chin and more little pimples and bumps. It also made my foundation look reallyyyyy cakey which I barely even use a lot of. My makeup never look this bad and I've never broke out bad like this. I had only used this product once so I knew right away it was the product that caused it.
BOUGHT THIS FOR THE SECOND TIMEEEEEEEEEEE 5

Riss from USA
didn't fill in pores, didn't prime my skin and made my foundation look bad
Didn't love it 2

So many raved about this and I thought it was just ok. No better then anything else out there. Did leave me feeling a bit greasy.
Makeup looked bad 1
Beth from Houston
I carefully applied a very thin coat as it described. But when I put my foundation over it, it was the worst texture I've ever seen. I could hardly wait to get it off my skin.
Love it 5
Would buy again from Colorado
It's amazing it makes your skin so soft after you use it!
Okay, Elf, I see you! 4

I like that this product is smooth. It's easy to apply either with fingers or some kind of applicator if you don't want to touch it. It's not scented, and it's not sticky which is a huge win. It should be gentle on my skin.
Caused puffiness and irritation on my face 1
SAM from Villa Park, IL
I was so excited to get this product as I had heard good things about it. I tried this putty for the first time along with the hydrating concealer. Unfortunately, it caused a slight burning sensation in areas where I did not use the concealer (so I was able to rule the concealer out as the culprit). I did my regular face wash routine and cleaned all of my makeup off and I woke up the next day with severe redness and puffiness under my eyes/ over my cheek bones, redness all over my cheeks, and my nose and forehead appeared shiny as if the top layer of skin had been burnt off. I have never had a reaction to a cosmetic but because of this experience I will not be using elf cosmetics again even the concealer.
Glad I tried it! 5

I bought this for the first time back in June (for reference, I live in central TX). I started to use it for a primer under my foundation (I own the Fenty Hydrating one) so I can wear it under a face mask. I do believe it helps my foundation glide better. There's still transfer of the foundation (no powder/setting spray, most likely that's why) and my face still had good coverage.
I would buy this product again! 5

I have a few acne scars and this product fills them in great so my face has a smoother look after I apply foundation.
Don't love 3

I normally use NYX Pore Less or Benefit Porefessional but the checkout girl talked me into this. I don't love dipping my fingers into the pot but also the texture is thin and just not for me. I feel like with this product, my makeup gets stuck and doesn't spread well, if that makes sense.
Don't get the hype 2
SB from TX
I have oily skin and this just doesn't work for me. It does smooth out my pores and foundation applies well on top. But this causes everything I put on top to break apart and look super greasy after just a couple hours.
Elf Poreless Putty Primer 4
Mellow from Joliet, IL
I bought this from reviews I read. I thought it did its job. I would buy again.
It's ok, but I wouldn't buy it again.. 3

I didn't see any "pore filling" done using this product, it just moisturizes.
AND it is NOT putty texture. They should take the putty off of it and change it to "elf poreless primer".
It's very moisturizing & makes your skin glowy, but I don't see any kind of pore filling happening. After this is used up, I won't be repurchasing.

So I started experimenting with all kinds of makeup. When I was younger, I just used foundation, blush and mascara. Now that I have aged, I see wrinkles. I have to try to cover or blur out those wrinkles somewhat and try to make my foundation a better smooth flawless look. I started trying different face primers to make a canvas base. I love Elf poreless putty primer. It blurs out my wrinkles and I use a little more of the product where I have more wrinkles and larger pores. It does the job! I recommend it!!

doesn't cover pores as well I'd want, if it all. I'll just stick to my Benefit Porefessional.

I don't see the hype at all. 🤷🏻♀️ It just does nothing for my skin under my foundation
I would buy it again for sure. 5

Really good!
Caused painful breakouts :/ 1
Sarah from Mesa, Arizona
I really wanted to love this product, i really did. It just caused me to break out so much and they were rather painful breakouts. At first I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it was something else, so i kept using it. I cleaned all my brushes and used a new beauty sponge to eliminate the possibilities of the breakouts being caused by dirty brushes. Despite the continuous effort to try to make it work, I would still breakout. It also made my textured skin more noticeable and after an hour or two, my makeup started to separate. I thought that maybe the ingredients in the primer and my concealer or foundation just didn't mix well. Another thought was that maybe my peach fuzz or the hair on my face made it separate so I shaved my face 3 days before i put this primer on again. Still no change. I was disappointed and some of my friends also had the same experience. I guess this just didn't work for me.
