Most Helpful Positive Review Might be a Holy Grail!
I am in my mid-30s and have fine lines as well as extremely acne-prone skin that breaks out if I use almost all drug store and high-end foundations, including Make-Up Forever HD and Lorac. I finally realized a couple months ago that silicone exacerbates my breakouts, especially dimethicone, which is in almost all liquid make-up and some powders, including most of the ones that claim to be more natural. While technically not a skin irritant, dimethicone, which gives make-up its slip, also creates a seal on your skin, trapping acne bacteria on your face. Over time, it can paradoxically dry out your skin, even though in the short term it seems to have a moisturizing effect.
Enter brands like RMS and Kjaer Weiss. While these work beautifully on women with great skin, the coverage is not great and has a tendency to fall throughout the day, sometimes within a matter of hours. Kjaer Weiss is more full coverage, but it also applies patchy and uneven, so I now mainly use the cream foundation as a concealer.
I started using the old formulation of Juice Beauty Foundation in Ivory. It didn't irritate my skin, but the coverage could be patchy, even using a Beauty Blender. It also had a tendency to fall. But I was so thankful to have some coverage without my skin breaking out more that I made do.
After using it all up, I went out and got the Phytopigments Serum Foundation in Cream as well as the Illuminating Primer. I am ecstatic. The consistency is ultra light-weight, but the coverage is amazing, without looking caked on or patchy. I am genuinely surprised that people aren't liking it, but I wonder if they are being told in the store that it definitely looks better if you are also using the primer. Additionally, you need to SHAKE WELL before each use. I applied with a foundation brush in sections and then used a Beauty Blender. I set with a powder and the Juice Make-Up Setting Spray. My skin looks absolutely radiant. It also looks really great on camera, which is a definite plus.
Most Helpful Critical Review Oxidation Issue
I have been a long time fan of Juice Beauty's Age Defying moisturizer, so when they launched this new foundation, I was quick to give it a go. I went into a nearby Ulta and spoke with a Juice Beauty contracted MUA. She was very friendly and helped me find a color match. She did stress that you should try the colors on your cheek and let it sit for several minutes to ensure best match. Unfortunately, after a couple days of use and no matter what kind of application technique I used. . . I've come to the following unfortunate conclusions. The color oxidizes horribly and you WILL look like you were poorly spray tanned with a color several shades too dark and orange. This product will make you feel very dried out and tug at your pores. This product dries quickly and makes blending very hard. Overall, this product needs continued reformulating and research before it is relaunched. Will be returning.

I love everything about this product, having psoriasis of the scalp that travels to my forehead at times this does not irritate my skin at all
I would not buy this product again.

I bought this product because the Philosophy foundation I was using is no longer available.
The girl in the store said this would be similiar. She matched my skin color with the foundation. It couldn't be any worse. Makes my skin orange. It was fairly expensive and I am stuck with it.
Not worth it

Super watery even after shaking it, and no coverage. An employee talked me into trying this foundation since they did not stock este lauder in the store I went to. She said she switched form the double wear to this brand and it was even better than the double wear. I disagree and will be returning it ASAP.

Loved this when I bought it. It is impossible to pump out a small amount and it goes everywhere because it is the consistency of water. I am very disappointed that the color in the bottle separated completely in a month. I'll be returning it.
I will buy this base again!

Not made for long wear, hard to use
Bern from Boston
There was a consultant at my local store who showed me this product. In store, I felt like my skin looked warm with this foundation, it seemed like it matched my skin tone (I have a hard time finding the right color) and it felt light so I bought it. When I first used it, I didn't love it but figured that I just didn't know how to use it yet since it is very watery and dries really quickly. After about two uses I learned how to apply it quickly and evenly, and I really liked it! It was super fast and my skin looked like it had a natural glow. However, once I started wearing it that quickly changed. It did not stay on for more than maybe 2 hours. Immediately, any time I touched my face, cried, sweat, etc, it would come off. I ended up coming home from work with half of my face off. To add, I used setting powder & spray, and don't touch my face often. The color I had been matched was a darker color than I normally wear, and yet I ended up looking pale and sick (someone said this to me) even after reapplying. It also started to feel gross and sticky throughout the day, which was probably making me rub it more, causing more to wipe off. I wasn't wearing it in the sun or at the gym either, this was just after sitting at my desk all day. This foundation is basically only good during a pandemic because it only stays on if you leave it alone. I was really disappointed because I was excited to try this product and to have a better skincare line. I was looking at the rest of their line and decided against it.
Perfect for me
Rach from Chico, CA
LOVE this foundation! My skin is softer and dewier even the day after I wear it. I don't wear it everyday. Great sun protection, too. I am 48 and have combination skin, fair toned, some dark patches, lines under eyes. Use a foundation sponge for best application. A little goes a long way. Result is not matte enough for me, so I use a mineral powder on my nose and chin.
Flawless finish but streaks
Rach from Florida
Really liked how well this matched with my skin and how natural it looked. I quickly realized that anytime I cried, dripped sweat, or got wet, it streaks - badly! Sadly I won't be getting it again.

I am 25 years old with combination skin and occasional acne. I had been using foundation such as MAC, too faced, Dior and L'Oréal. I was very happy with the foundations I was using but wanted a "cleaner" alternative. I love Juice Beauty skin care so I decided to try this foundation and I fell in love! It is a medium- full coverage foundation but looks natural! I don't have to set it with powder, which I love and even without powder, it barely transfers! It is a bit on the pricey end but I'm happy with the ingredients, it lasts all day, and looks beautiful!

great coverage i use it every day and it covers all redness completely

I bought this because I liked the ingredients, but this foundation rolls right off your face if you cry or get water splashed on you- even set with powder!

Love to mix with a primer or illuminator for a lighter finish. I use full strength for problem areas that need more coverage.

I surprisingly love this foundation! I've been trying to switch my makeup to cruelty free for a while, and foundation is difficult. I'm very white, paler than most shade ranges. I have oily skin and am also concerned about fine lines/wrinkles. This foundation is working out great so far, my skin actually seems less oily throughout the day (using with Juice Beauty primer and CC cream underneath) and the foundation doesn't accentuate or settle in my fine lines. This is a major win! Foundation that is vegan, organic, cruelty free, good for your skin and actually WORKS is a unicorn. Blends out easily with a beauty blender and stays put on my face with setting powder on top. My only gripe is that I do wish they had one shade lighter for pale skin. I can make 05 buff work because the undertone is spot on but it is a bit dark.
BEST FOUNDATION I'VE EVER HAD
Lyvia from Minnesota
I'm in love with this foundation. Sounds horrible but the first thing I thought when I realized we were all being quarantined was that I was so sad I wouldn't be putting this foundation on every day anymore. It's so lightweight and liquid but as soon as you blend it it in dries down and gives the absolute perfect coverage. I'm a long tint kinda girl but truthfully I have a lot of enlarged pores and acne scars that I'd like to be more covered. This covers them absolutely effortlessly and beautifully and my skin looks like skin!!!! You can even layer it up for the perfect glass skin look. I can't say enough good things about it, it's so perfect. Oh and I have very fair very warm toned skin so I can NEVER find the right foundation shade for me as all the lightest colors are too cool or neutral. THIS ONE IS PERFECT!!!! my match made in heaven ❤️❤️❤️ and it's literally aloe vera based?? Couldn't possibly be better

I am a huge fan of clean and organic beauty. I have been trying to transition for a bit and this is my new favorite foundation. For me, if I pair this with the CC cream underneath, it helps keep my skin moisturized. At first, the foundation seems hard to blend with a sponge. However, I talked to a JB vendor and she said the best way to get the most out of a pump is by placing on back of hand and moving in circular motions. Then with clean hands place a little of the foundation on face and blend with a sponge. That process has been working wonderfully and it gives great coverage. So happy I found this foundation. Also, if you have drier skin, or just want to add more to it, you can put one or two drops of a serum like hyaluronic acid or vitamin C. This helps to blend the foundation too. Girls, take the steps to go more organic and natural with your makeup and skincare.
You won't regret it.

I was so excited to use this product because i am trying to go clean on my makeup. Unfortunately, i couldn't find the right color for my skin. I had to go three times to Ulta and finally decided to get what I normally use because it was either too dark or too light, and that was with their help. The product is awesome in texture and it feels pretty amazing. It is quality definitely! So if you can find your color, I totally recommend it.
THEY NEED MORE COLORS
Kristine from Fort Myers Florida
I tried it in the store and lived the formula went home did research on the color I need and undertone my skin is light to medium with neutral to blue undertone their neutral undertone light to medium is way to dark and the the others are to light and with yellow undertones so back it goes
The foundation separated throughout the day
Nicole from Columbus, Ohio
I tried this product in store and was excited to try it out because it was plant based and natural! I was looking for a more organic option and thought this would be good. When I first applied it I thought it covered great and felt great other than a little cakey, but I could work with that.
After using this for a couple months, I was very disappointed in this foundation. I had to use a lot of product to get a medium to full coverage so I ran out of this bottle in 2 months with moderate everyday use. Usually bottles this size last me 3-4 months or even longer, so it felt like a lot of money for such a short usage.
The most disappointing thing was that as I was wearing it, throughout the day I could see the pigment separate on my skin leaving my face spotted and oily!
As soon as the foundation got even the slightest drizzle of rain or a tear on an emotional day, it just ran right off and left noticeable streaks. It also came off and transfered very easily. It felt like a lot of the makeup ended up coming off throughout the day or made me look sweaty/oily even in the dead of winter. Very disappointing. :(
I love their mission and vision to be more natural and plant based, but it was not worth the money and the product did not hold up for me.
"Clean" often means sensitizing and fast spoiling!
Makeup76 from Milwaukee
Organic food ingredients are often not good skincare, especially if the ingredients are citrus plant derivatives (this contains at least one) with the exception of vitamin C. For around the price of this smelly fruit skin stressor there are elegant and properly preserved foundations from luxury brands. (Preservatives keep foundations from going bad and have been tested. "Clean" makeup is a gimmick that causes you to need to throw things out sooner and buy more!)
The color that I was shade matched with had a gray cast on me, shade 8. I tried to point this out, but before I knew it, the sales person had put the box in my hand and was done with me even though I clearly didn't like it. She knew better for my "dry and mature skin" - her words! I'm 43, and it's winter so that might be accurate but be nicer about it! I could not buy this stinking gray foundation that contains sensitizing plant ingredients. Some items from this brand smell more like fruity wood polish than makeup and I've thrown them out because of their high fragrance.
I would not buy this again
Jess from Oklahoma
This has good coverage, but it did not last all day long for my oily skin. If you have oily skin this is not for you. This makeup actually made my skin more oily. I could take my finger during mid day and literally wipe off the makeup. It did not stay on well at all and does settle into fine lines along my chin. I did purchase the primer that goes with it as well, but it sucks that I paid over $75 on this makeup. Waste of money for me and of course I can't return it as I tried it for 4 weeks to try to give it a chance. :(
