I'm so excited to see that Ulta is carrying Mad Hippie! I have tried every product from this brand (with the exception of their SPF) and the vitamin c serum is the stand out product for me. I am very particular about good clean ingredients in my skin care and this brand definitely delivers. I have bought this serum twice, which says a lot because I'm always looking for something new and better. I tried multiple vitamin c serums before coming back to this. The texture is amazing. It's not greasy like many others. It absorbs quickly and feels light weight. It helps even out my skin without redness and irritation. I highly recommend. Great product for price point.
I hate to say it since I love many of the Mad Hippie products (especially the eye cream, cream cleanser and antioxidant face oil), but this Vitamin C serum wasn't a win for me. I wanted to give this one a try because traditional L-Ascorbic acid C serums do cause some irritation on my sensitive skin. This one definitely doesn't cause the irritation thanks to MH's use of the gentler "SAP" version of Vitamin C, but it also doesn't do any of the amazing things for my skin that the L-Ascorbic form does. I used up the bottle and saw very little improvement in brightening, absolutely no lightening of my age spot or evening of skin tone. MAYBE another few months of use would bring these changes about, but honestly with L-Ascorbic Vitamin C serums I notice some brightening, clarity, and fading of hyperpigmentation in about one week that only continue to improve with longer use, so ? I'm just personally not convinced the form of Vitamin C they are using here is capable of all of the things L-Ascorbic does. I also really prefer to use products that are tried and true/proven to work, and there just aren't enough independent studies done yet on this newer form of Vit. C. Truth be told, if I had never tried LAA vitamin C serums I might really like this product, but in comparison this just does not even come close for me. That said, if your skin is just impossibly sensitive I think this is certainly better than not using any C serum. I also know that everyone's skin will react differently; a lot of people out there do seem to love this product.

Lost count of how many bottles I've purchased. Makes hyperpigmentation disappear so quick and leaves skin glowing and radiant. I notice it helps acne heal quicker too. It does dry down a little stick but if you layer a moisturizer over it the stickiness is taken care of. I've had no issues with pilling, but I would probably not layer this with an oil to avoid that. Just note that not everyone's skin likes vitamin c, but if you've tried a vitamin c serum before and your skin liked it, give this one a try!

i can't express how much i love this serum. within DAYS of using it i already was seeing so much glow and radiance to my skin. It has just made my skin look more healthier overall. it's a bit sticky but once you apply moisturizer it's not bad at all. Worth the price.

I have acne prone skin so I ALWAYS do my research on any product I intend to try. All of the ingredients in this did not come up comedogenic in any of my research. Comedogenic means most likely to clog pores in acne prone skin types. Most ingredients on comedogenic lists break me out. Like coconut oil, cocoa butter, sodium chloride, etc. So I was really surprised that this caused my face to break out! After 3 days of use, I noticed a few small white heads on my forehead, chin and cheek. They got bigger every day I used this. I acquired a few more white heads after a week with continued use. I am new to using a vitamin C serum so I asked google if vitamin C is exfoliating and it said that it is-I already use chemical exfoliants in my skin care routine but I decided to wait a few more days, just to see if maybe it was just causing a small purge before my skin would settle down but it didn't. I was tired of seeing big red, painful zits and some small white heads on my face. I also don't ever get acne on my cheeks, unless I am using a product that is clogging my pores. This product is NOT acne prone approved. Since I only tried this for a little over a week it's hard for me to speak on if this actually befitted my skin in anyway.

Rubs off in little pills when I apply the brand's own oil moisturizer – even after waiting at least a minute or so to let the serum sink in, and even when my face is exfoliated.

I really tried to keep using this product because of the many positive reviews…but I personally found it to be WAAAAY too sticky…not useable under makeup.

I use this product in the morning along with my sunscreen. This definitely didn't break me out and I'm happy about that because my skin is very disrespectful lol. I don't really see much of a difference in the hyperpigmentation but I do get a nice GLOW and I'm all for it! I will continue to use this product my face is brighter and glowing I'll take that for sure!

This is magic in a bottle i love this. Had my dark spots on my face for 3 years. This was able to remove them in a week! I love this.

I typically use an expensive vitamin c on my face and got this to use on my chest and backs of my hands. I ran out of the expensive stuff and started using this on my face. My skin looked terrible! Bumps, blackhead and acne. Stopped using it and my skin is clear again. You get what you pay for.

I used this daily in the morning for 2 months and didn't notice any difference in brightening or evening of my skin tone. It didn't irritate my super sensitive skin and it had a pleasant texture but I can't justify recommending it or buying it again. It doesn't specify the concentration of Vitamin C anywhere which I think is an important detail they're missing. I prefer The Ordinary serums and noticed an actual difference in skin brightening when I used them

Absorbs into skin well and does not leave it feeling greasy or sticky. Improves skin appearance. Fragrance free and does great under makeup

I love the texture of this serum, not too runny, not too thick. No scent, doesn't sting. I've noticed my skin being brighter & will continue to use. This is what I put on first in the morning before sunscreen (also Mad Hippie). absorbs quickly, not sticky

When I worked for Ulta our skin therapist had gotten me hooked on this it's been my ride or die for about 3 years. I originally had bought it to help with my dull skin it had no luster and it was a bit rough to the touch. After using this I had a glow to my skin, it was supple to the touch, and it also helped smoothe it out. One of my favorites hands down and it's ALL natural.

I bought this for overall texture, glow and treating hyperpigmentation. When I'm really good about using it every morning there's a definite improvement in my texture - my skin just looks healthier and smoother.
It doesn't dry me out, doesn't make me break out or clog my pores and goes on nicely. It doesn't roll on my skin.
I use it in the morning because I use retinol at night and read that retinol can make it unstable, therefore can make it not work as well. It goes on fine under makeup.
I haven't used it long enough to comment on the pigmentation because that takes a while to work, but I've heard a few people say it's the best product for that skin issue.

I use the Vitamin C serum in the day, and Vitamin A at night along with the philosophy purity daily exfoliating face wash, and moisturizers. This works so well, but I didn't think it always did, so I tried new brands and ended up back here. HOWEVER I discovered that after washing my face, and toning with exfoliating pads, that adding aloe Vera gel to my face, then the serums while it's still wet from the aloe Vera is a game changer. I use less serum during application, it's definitely more effective, and the results are amazballs! So yes adding aloe Vera is the beauty hack. You're welcome ladies&gentlemen

I always wipe my face off with a cold wash cloth in the morning and then apply a dropper full of this to my face! I rub it in with clean, just washed hands and then I use my face roller that I keep in the freezer, right after I apply this vitamin C oil! My skin is always bouncy, bright and tight the entire day after using this.
Bonus points because this product is cruelty free < 3
I love Mad Hippie products and I will continue to use them! ( this bottle also lasts me 1-2 months and I use it religiously every morning. ) would probably last longer if I only used half a dropper full.

This is a must-use in my skin care routine! It's hydrating and has evened the tone and texture of my skin.

Was super excited to try this product. after months of using about 5x/week I've seen absolutely no difference in my skin so it definitely wasn't worth the money

Use this daily. Has improved the appearance and texture of my skin. Great for people with acne/pigmentation scarring and anyone who gets a lot of sun exposure
Lauren from Florida
So it's good in that it didn't irritate my sensitive skin but I really don't think this is potent enough to make a difference like I saw with my serum from The Ordinary. Wasn't impressed with this at all.
Mermaid from Sacramento
Looooove this Vitamin C. My family suffers from early sun spots and I noticed I was starting to get them. I started using them and so far have been able to keep them at bay. Complexion is radiant when I use this.

I originally bought this since it was an award winning serum by Allure in hopes to brighten my skin in the winter months. It's now summer and I use this religiously! (3-4x a week in the morning). The serum leaves my skin glowing (literally!) and I've noticed extreme improvements in my skins pigmentation (it's now even out and ridden of dark spots). You can NOT find a brand with such CLEAN ingredients. I now use Mad Hippie products for all of my skincare needs and I will never go back!
