Game changer — made an instant difference!

I tried the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Mask free in exchange for a review. For years, I thought my highlighted hair looked limp and frizzy because I was "getting older," and I couldn't do much about it. My hair constantly frizzed and tangled, so I used leave-in conditioner/detangler, gel, sty...

Left my hair limping and greasy

I received this product in exchange for a fair and honest review. For starters, I have used this twice, about 5 days apart, post shampooing, applying from the mid length area through the ends, massaged well, and left on for about 5 minutes. The first time I used this, I rinsed, with cold water, unti...

I got this product as gratis when I worked at Ulta and it is nice! I use it after I condition and leave on for 5 to 10 mins. It helps de-tangle and my hair feels more soft and conditioned when I use it.

I love Redken products but this one really missed the mark for me. I used a generous amount and left it in for 5-7 minutes. Once dried, my hair actually felt drier and frizzier. I was really suprised so i tried it again 2 weeks later and it felt the same. Unfortunately i would not recommend

I received this product as a gift for being a diamond member. I have to admit I was skeptical because it is not a thick mask. I thought for a hair mask to work it has to be thick. I left the mask on for about 5 to 7 minutes while I was in the shower. I didn't notice anything until after my hair was dry and it felt super smooth and was very shiny. I will definitely be purchasing this product - one of the best hair products for silky hair I've ever tried.

Hair Type Very Curly Hair

My hair is very wiry, thin, brittle, and prone to breakage. Left natural, it looks like worn out steel wool that has started to unravel, feels like very thin straw, and seems to shed more than my corgi in summer. So naturally, I decided to try to grow it out shoulder length. My reviews are based on how products have helped or hindered that effort, and may not be applicable to your hair type. I started off using the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo, Conditioner, 5 Minute Mask, and Leave-In Treatment. At first, the results seemed positive. There definitely seemed to be less daily breakage, and my hair SEEMED softer and stronger. However, there seemed to be a maximum length to which my hair would grow. After a year of expensive products, my hair was actually SHORTER than when I started this line. I finally read the ingredients and Redken products contain alcohol, which is very bad for my hair. I switched to Bondi Boost products and have noticed significant growth, less breakage, and have been much happier. DISCLAIMER: During the same period, I did over color my hair, had to strip the color, bleach it, and re-color it. That process is most likely responsible for a great deal of damage and loss of length; probably more so than the Redken products. I also started scalp treatments, more frequent shampooing, and a change of styling products. Therefore the loss of length and lack of growth can not be totally attributed to these products, but I am still much happier with Bondi Boost.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I'm always on the hunt for a conditioning mask that works for my high porosity hair. This missed the mark and left my hair very greasy. I am bummed that I spent so much on it and it didn't work for me.
