Bondi Sands Technocolor Self Tanning Face Serum

People who are dragging this product have to be using it incorrectly or haven't figured out how to make it work for them. It gives me a really lovely, warm natural glow--it's not a superdeep bronze because this product isn't intended to do that; the whole reason why it offers multiple shades is because it does not give a one-shade-fits-all "dark" look--it gives you a back-from-vacation, suntanned warmth. "Super-dark" is just the wrong outcome to expect with this product (if that's what you're looking for, go get some LovingTan). The Technocolor Face Serum is for self-tanners who want a goof-proof face product. I do think it's made with that kind of person in mind--someone who's scared they're going to turn orange--because I did need to apply this product twice to see a dramatic result. When I applied it the first time (to COMPLETELY clean, bare skin as instructed!), I didn't see much difference; I washed my face for the night and reapplied it, and when I woke up the next morning my face was GORGEOUS. Highly recommend. I have fair-light skin that tans pretty easily, and I got the emerald and it looks great--noticeably tan, but not at all orange. I think the sapphire would go a little ashy on me, and I think I could use the magenta without issue.

I used the sapphire product for cool, light tones. Maybe that was my mistake. I'm learning that I lean olive even though I am light. Don't judge which color to buy based off depth of tan in the after pictures. Go with what you know about your skin tone. Sapphire is probably for very very fair people who lean yellow and it won't show up on anyone else. I should have known based on my undereye concealer, which is peachy. Sapphire probably canceled out too much orange and nothing developed on my face, twice. I will try the emerald next time.

Tried building the color over a few days tgis week. Did not build, clogged my pores and cannot return since i tried to give it a chance and use multiple times.

Bought the sapphire body tan and matching face serum. The body foam is natural looking and buildable. The face serum is, unfortunately, neither of those. I applied to my face with no other products and saw no color change even after sleeping 8+ hrs in it.

I'm in love with the entire technocolor line. I have the sapphire and emerald body tanners and use sapphire for my face. I'm very pale and my biggest concerns was looking orange and looking very unnaturally tan. This did neither. The body ones are incredible especially for fair skin and the face serum is equally amazing. First time I left it on for an hour and for a very light wash of color, second time left it on for full 6 hours. I went to work and got asked if I went on vacation by 7 people. Everyone said I have such a nice tan to my face. You can build up the color by applying a couple layers and extending the wear time but still, it looks so natural and not orange. People are missing what these products were made for in my opinion. If you're looking for a dark, deep, very bronze color, you're using the wrong tanner. This is not meant for that and it's not advertised to do that, it's meant to be light, natural and complement your natural undertone, which is exactly what it does. Amazing line of products overall. The thought that went behind these products is very clear and finally, FINALLY, I can use fake tan without looking like an oompa loompa!! I've avoided self tanning since I tried it in middle school, which was 17 years ago, because it turned me orange and I looked absolutely crazy. Love that these shades cater to fair skin, keeping in mind that most of the time, fake tan turns fair people very orange, but they also have shades for deeper tones as well. Great products.
