ok, let me first say that I didn't want to like this stuff! HOWEVER,,,it does work nicely. I have had a dry flaky scalp for 20 years and this stuff cures it in one wash. I hated the smell in the bottle and in the shower,,,HOWEVER the smell changes once your hair dries and it does smell great during the day--never thought I'd say that! I don't use it everyday so I can't review it on daily use, but I do use it off and on between my other shampoos. I will always own a bottle of this stuff. If you are buying it because you have a flaky scalp,,,let me tell you this. Just about any shampoo you buy that is a PROFESSIONAL shampoo will do the job. What is drying everyones scalp out are the cheap products that all contain SULFATEs--which help you hair lather up like in the commercials. They cheap products are loaded up heavily with sulfates, the professional shampoos have less sulfates to NO sulfates. My other recommendations would be AG Smooth, AG Colour Saviour, Pureology, Alterna Caviar and anything by LIVING PROOF!!!!! All of them will eliminate your dry scalp! Also, use a clarifing shampoo once a week to eliminate buildup, which can also cause dry scalp. OH,,,one last tip,,,it is not good for everyone to wash every other day or two if they have a dry scalp. I get a dry scalp because even though my hair/scalp seem dry to me, the scalp is actually clogging itself with daily oil, which then creates the dandruff. Washing my hair EVERYDAY has eliminated the flakes as well. So if you use professional products and still have a dry scalp, switch to washing every day or opposite depending on what you currently do.
I have been taking medication that gives me a severe dry scalp. A hair stylist suggested I use this to cure it and it may help with occasional flakes but i don't suggest for sever dry scalp. I think this is more geared toward removing residue and thoroughly cleaning build up from the scalp rather than actual dry scalp. If you find your hair greasy and lifeless this should help with that as a once a week treatment but for severe dandruff try Biolage Scalpsync it saved my scalp!

This gave me hair loss immediately after using it.

This shampoo made me hair fall our in clumps. I started using it at the beginning of this year, and after about a month or so I noticed I was shedding far more than normal. All my blood work came back clear, and I started eliminating different products to find the cause. Once I switched to another shampoo, my shedding began to get better, and I'm finally back to losing a normal amount of hair each shower. Stay away from this product!

I have repurchased this numerous times! My husband mostly uses it. I can always smell him from the other room right out of the shower. So if you do not like the smell of tea tree, DO NOT buy it. It does have a slight tingle, again, that's how tea tree oil works. So don't buy it if you don't like tingle. It does not feel the best in the eyes so avoid your eyes. But it is a great Product for keeping hair clean and with a good conditioner keeps it healthy I even have bleached hair and use it occasionally for a good deep clean

Leaves my hair brittle and static. I have oily hair, but it really dried up my hair. Definitely returning it.

This stuff was awful. It had an unpleasant burning sensation, it made my eyes water, and it dried my hair out. I threw out the bottle and bought something less offensive from the grocery.

This shampoo was provided in a hotel I was staying in and I decided to give it a try. It left my hair feeling horrible. It felt like my hair had melted into a big clump. I couldn't get my fingers through it at all and it felt incredibly dry.

My partner is a simple man and tried this product for me because I wanted him to stop using Head and Shoulders. He likes the shampoo and told me it feels good on his scalp. He highly recommends.

Both men and women will love this shampoo and the collection that goes with it. I have the whole collection and am obsessed with it. I always recommend this product to everyone.

I like the smell and how my scalp feels. But I have always had thick and tons of hair. I started using this shampoo and when I washed it off, my hair was falling like crazy. It seemed like I pulling hair off my scalp. My daughter also started using it and she started to have tons of dandruff. Never again buying this.

I hate the menthol feeling on my skin. Note to all: don't ever get this in your eyes. I bought this for my daughter and she hated it so I took it. I gave two stars because it's fine for cleaning hair and the smell wakes me up in the morning. But I won't be buying this again.

Love this shampoo for my scalp and hair.

Don't ruin your hair like I did! It caused itchy scalp which I've never had and I've had major hair loss from this shampoo and conditioner. Since I've stopped using it, I'm finally seeing all new growth. It's also under a class act law suit currently.

Love the smell and it's a great shampoo but it weighs your hair down. Wouldn't recommend if you are looking for volume.
Jackie from Gainesville FL
Very good shampoo!

For those who this product has worked wonders for: smashing. Good for you. I thought I'd be among you. I used it because I wanted to deal with the double whammy that was dandruff and yet somehow oily hair. I thought it had worked.
That is until my I went for a cut at my hairstylist I hadn't seen since before the pandemic and she asked if I had thinned my hair the last time. (Nope.) She went, "Huh… your ponytail is smaller." I hadn't noticed. And I hadn't noticed because for me, using this shampoo wasn't an immediate, dramatic loss of half of my hair like you see in movies. It was gradually. I lost smaller amounts of hair over time amounting to an amount considerable enough to cause my hairstylist concern.
I threw out what was left in the bottle (about a quarter of if) and bought rice water bar shampoo. The regrowth of my hair is very noticeable! We're talking lots of baby hairs cropping back up all over my head. My hair feels thicker, has more volume, and I feel I've barely put a dent in my shampoo bar.
If you even suspect this shampoo is thinning your hair, chuck it out or you might find yourself regretting it later.

For the price, it does not perform like it should. My dandruff & itchy scalp has returned. My hair is unmanageable and falling out like crazy. Does not effectively work for oily hair. Maybe keeps the oil out for one day tops. Will not purchase again.
Cheng from VA
Please don't be misled that this product will help treat dry scalp because it actually does the opposite. After using it I've also had a bad skin reaction to it, burning skin, itchy skin, nonstop and nothing has yet helped to relieve it. Avoid at all costs.

I bought this back in July and was recommended by the stylist who did my hair. After a month I notice my hair was falling out more than usual and I haven't changed anything other than my shampoo. It's been over 2 months and my hair has been falling out more and thin. I would not recommend this to anyone and wouldn't buy it again.

Love the smell, the tingle and the way my hair feels after using it. For fear of hair loss like some reviews mentioned i plan to only use once a week.
Larry the crafter from Winchester, NH
I have used this for many years and love the feeling after using it. The tingle is so awesome.
Belinda from Wisconsin
I bought this after the sales girl at Ulta recommended it and when I took it home and used it, I noticed after 3 washes, my HAIR LOSS started to increase with every wash. After researching the in ingredients I found it contains Methylchloroisothiazolinone which is a Formaldehyde Releasing agent and causes HAIR LOSS!!!!! Warning to everyone, do not buy this!!
Croq from Upland Ca
First time I've ever used tea tree shampoo and it works. I had been experiencing an itchy scalp and this really cleared it up. I haven't had any flare ups since the first wash.
Lynsey from Manchester, CT
Love the smell of this, however I'm currently now battling extremely dry hair and hair loss…in brush fulls!! For someone with already thin hair, this is alarming and unsettling, especially for a higher end product that cost good money
Shells from Georgia
Love this shampoo ! Hair and scalp feel clean and it is very gentle to my blonde treated hair.
