Amazing, best primer for shine control!! First of all, thank you for gifting me this product through the loyalty program. I was very excited to see this surprise on my mailbox. And seeing what type of product it was, I was more excited and eager to try. I have been in the lookout for the right primer that would reduce my pores and control my oil and shine. Previously, I have use either prep + prime skin or Mineralize Timecheck lotion with Prep + Prime skin refined zone as primers(VERY GOOD PRODUCTS), followed by makeup application. I would set with Fix+ Matte Spray to finish off and setting my makeup to more of a mattifying look. I loved the end results. But I would say after some 3 hours or more I would have to blott my T-zone and brush a light layer of Blot pressed powder just to control the shine. But now after trying this new Mattifine product I am very pleased. This product does stands to what it says. I do not have large pores but the fact that it controls my oily T-zone and shine, makes me happy. When applied, a little goes a long way. I only apply on my oily areas. It has a creamy consistency but once applied to the skin it glides on very smoothly and feels like a velvety finish. When used as a makeup primer, my foundation glides on smoothly and the end results are amazing it gives me an instant blurred effect. It is long wearing and sweat and humidity resistant (especially with the hot summer weather in California) I don't have to retouch my makeup or even use blotting powder.
I tried the product on bare skin ( no makeup) and I just love how the shine is not there throughout the day.
Overall, I highly recommend this product, coming from a costumer who struggles with oil and shine control. I have purchase other makeup brands and primers and I haven't found the right product until now. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ! Please MAC, never take this away from us.
Dry, flaky patches and cakey makeup I got this to replace my old (holy grail) Rimmel matte primer that is no longer sold anywhere. This had good reviews and a similar consistency, so I was sold. However, immediately after using this product my foundation was super cakey. I have combination skin and I only applied this in my oily areas. I hoped it would get better within a few hours after it settled into my skin. However, I noticed throughout the day that my foundation looked dry and flaked off in some spots and then rubbed off in others. My makeup normally lasts 12+ hours. I returned immediately after my first use and I will be trying the fenty beauty matte primer next.

I have extremely oily skin and tried so many different ways to control my shine, this is the only primer that works for me. I love it. I have been using it for 2 years now and won't be trying anything else
