I am of two minds concerning the Bevel 30 Day Shave Kit. It is of clearly high quality materials: the safety razor is carefully made in the old style of safety razors; the shave brush is made of quality badger hair that makes a thick shave lather. There is a priming oil to protect the skin from cuts..., nicks, bumps and pulling. Also included is a tube of aloe vera shaving cream to keep the skin hydrated and to complete the shave, a bottle of restoring balm to soothe the skin after the shave.Tucked in is a package of 20 razor blades so there is always a sharp blade available. The shave kit materials are planned for use for 30 days and it is rather pricey. The replacement products like the oil, shave cream, balm and blades are not inexpensive. But if the kit and its quality products do what they are intended, it is probably a worth the price. That means no more ingrown hairs, no more bumps, and no more rough, uneven skin. No more breakouts. The result should be a smooth, even textured skin. And you go through these ministrations every day. Where my questions arise is this kit versus an epilator system. Which one to use? I have used an epilator for several years and when used properly, your skin is smooth and hairless for the better part of a week. If you are lucky, the hair returns as a minor fuzz. If you aren't lucky, you get ingrown hairs and bumps. You buy the epilator and use it about once a week. No refills to buy but there is a period when you've got a fuzz on your skin. The epilator has to have at least a short hair to grab and remove. So you have to consider time and money invested, conditiion of the skin after shaving or using the epilator, condition of the skin when the hair starts to regrow and whether ingrown hairs develop. The Bevel Kit works well but it takes a lot of effort and a substantial investment while the epilator is used about once a week and the skin is nice and smooth for a few days but then the skin gets covered with short hairs that aren't so nice. If you willing to spend both time and money, choose the Bevel Kit. If the budget matters and time is limited, think about another method.
