Disaster
It felt great the first three days and then I had an allergic reaction and it burned my face. My skin began to peel, I had red dry splotches all around my mouth and chin and temple areas and it took 5 days to heal. It looked like a chemical burn. I'm giving my face a wk off and trying it again. ...

Gentle and smooth
I have very oily acne probe skin. I dont use any moisturizers on my face cuz i usually break out. Im 38 about to be 39. I saw the reviews and decided to buy it. It is expensive but i truly have to say its worth the price. I been using it for about 3/4 months now. I was using it consistantly the first month at night but i noticed maybe 1 day out of the week I was waking up with a tiny white head. I use it a few times a week now. I actually like using it in the morning before i put my makeup on. My daughter whos 13 I caught using it and I laughed but she actually loves it haha .. i did notice the pump after a while wouldn't pump the cream out so i had to keep pumping and it started working fine adtwr that. A little goes a long way. My skin does feel a lil irritated if i clunk it on but if i put just the right anount its fine. Like i said, my skin is very sensitive. Its smooth, smells pleasant , lightweight and very moisturizing. I personally will continue to buy it. The peice is outrageous but you pay for what u get.
Will continue to repurchase
I bought this for the first time in 2023 (a smaller size). This moisturizer makes my skin feel hydrated without being greasy. It's very lightweight - this is a great moisturizer for folks with oily, combo, or normal skin. I have continued to repurchase this since and have gone through 4 of the 3.3oz size and 1 of the larger size they sell around the holidays. I have used similar moisturizers / dupes and haven't found anything that compares to it. Love the Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer! I'm not a fan of most other DE products, but this one is A++++.
Don't waste your money
I got this moisturizer and I heard amazing reviews about it. I got it while being indesicive on its price, but still got it to treat myself on my birthday. After about 1-2 uses I broke out so bad! Weird because I never ever break out. My skin is usually amazing and fine with products. This broke me out so bad to the point I was crying so hard to even move my face! I would never even think about buying again and would NOT recommend getting it. And my skin is a mixture of oily and dry. Although, I have tried other products from Drunk Elephant and they have been fine, so I guess this moisturizer just doesn't work for me. 🤷♀️
Pleasantly surprised
I needed an oil-free, cruelty-free moisturizer to replace my discontinued holy grail by another brand. After trying a couple different brands that did not work out, I took a chance on this one. I am pleasantly surprised by the results! It is not greasy, and it verges on a matte finish without hitting that overdry consistency. It does not cause my skin to go into overproduction of oil like others. It goes on nice and smooth and absorbs evenly. Some people may dislike the smell of this lotion--to me, it smells vaguely like wheat, and that is okay with me. This product is a little on the expensive side, that is its only downfall.
Got milks on my forehead while using this /:
Drunk elephant has to be one of those hype brands because I've spent over $400 on their different products & have never seen positive results. I've bought this face cream a couple times & I get milia on my forehead & temple area everytime I use this. I wouldn't waste the money again after I stopped using it but if it works for you do you
