I got so tired of seeing all the hair I pulled out when I used a normal brush. Since switching to the Wet Brush dry and Wet Brush wet, I have noticed I'm losing a lot less hair and I feel like my hair doesn't have as much breakage. My hair also doesn't get pulled out when I brush it dry anymore, which is amazing. This brush also doesn't seem to brush out my waves/curls as much either. But if I straighten my hair, I still use a normal brush, because this brush doesn't hold onto my hair as well.
I thought I had found my forever hairbrush. I have long, full, curly but somewhat fine color treated hair. Drying it with a brush to keep it straight always caused breakage til I found this brush in the shiny plastic version. It was a miracle. It literally saved my hair. After 6 months after the first purchase, I dropped it on my ceramic tile floor and it snapped at the first zig after the handle. I was devastated! I ran to Ulta and found another one (yay!) and that one lasted about 8 months. Dropped it once again and, again, it broke in exactly the same place. Superglue was of no help. So, again, I went to Ulta to buy another, an, lo and behold, a new version - the "Pro"! Upon first use, it was apparent there was no research involved with this "upgrade" because the second I tried to brush through my heavy, wet hair with this new "Pro" version with a "new and improved" sticky, gummy, rubberized coating, it pulled and tugged and stuck to every hair and was 1000 times worse than my old brushes. And as far as I can tell, they no longer make this zig zag paddle brush without the rubberized coating. I am going to drop this one on the floor a few times and see if the idea was to stop the brush from breaking, but my guess is, someone just wasn't thinking in the 'ol product development and improvement department.
I've always had thicker hair. This brush worked well then, and now since I've had surgery and lost some hair, it still works amazingly. I will only ever buy this brush for as long as it's available. Just wish there were more color choices, but beggars can't be choosers. Haha!
this brush is awesome! i have really thick hair and this brush handles the job
I've owned several wet brushes, but have been looking for a drying paddle one for a while. This works great and speeds hair drying. 2 thumbs up!
Don't waste your money, I have purchased 4 of these brushes, the last one is only 2 months old, and each one broke on the left side. I won't purchase again, guess I finally learned the brush isn't a good thing.
Doesn't pull my hair and very flexible and easy to clean
