Twist up until tip is level with clear protective tubing & stop right there. (Exposing the tip too much may cause it to break!) Then, apply with light, gentle strokes in the direction of your natural hair growth. Blend with spoolie.

Didn't last long, breaks
The only thing I can say is that I would not buy this again. I'll stick with the precisley brow that I've been using for years with no issue. If it ain't broke don't fix it is so very true!

I have fuller brows with several sparse areas and this is the perfect pencil to fill in those areas while maintaining a natural look. I have brown eyebrows and got shade 5 and it is perfect.
No match for natural redheads
I don't know what product they used on the redheaded model for shade 3 light medium brown, but I have her same hair color and I can tell you it wasn't this product in that color. After using this product my eyebrows are brown, no hint of red at all. I love how the product goes on, but they need a better shade for natural redheads. I'll stick to using the brow powder from Anastasia of Beverly Hills.
Save your money
I have very thin brows and over the years, I have tried every kind of brow fillers, from pencil, powder, to pomade. I always use light hand pressure to apply all my makeup. The first several times I applied the color, the pencil broke. Not once. Not twice, but almost every time. The money spent on this brow detailer pencil was wasted. NYX brow blade beat this hands down, with more money in my pocket.
Would be great if..
I love the way this product works, but the amount of breakage is really ridiculous. Even with the minimal amount of product extended, it break. Less than two weeks and its gone. I will be sticking with the original.
