How do you clean the brushes?
Asked by Gabby
Official Answer By Sally Hansen - BE
Hello! Thank you for your interest in our Salon Pro Tool Kit. We recommend soaking the bristles in a small amount of acetone. Be sure to avoid soaking the metal connector. After soaking the bristles for a few minutes, pat dry with paper towel. We hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please reach out to our team. You can give us a call at 1-800-953-5080, and we'll be happy to help. Was this answer helpful to you

So I guess it's my fault for assuming, but these are like the length of a toothpick! Very tiny and kind of hard to hold and I have small hands/short nails. Then when I cleaned the brush with polish remover obviously to clean it the whole hair part fell out. And lastly the brushes were a little too thick even the "longer skinnier" was way to big for small details. I'll just invest in an actual pro nail art kit.

I've been painting my nails for years, and dabble in art and brushes every now again...I'm certainly not a professional, but would say I have reasonable or intermediate skills. I like to add new brushes to my collection every now and again, and try to explore a variety of brands, both mainstream and indie. Sadly, these brushes are entirely too short to be of any use to me with a handle just a smidge over an inch and a half, and the ferrule bringing the total length to 2.5 inches (the dotting tool has a 2 inch handle, and is 3 inches overall). I ordered online and didn't even think that doll sized brushes were an option, so I didn't pay attention to the clues that these would be microscopic in length. I can't store them with the rest of my brushes and dotters, as they'll just be lost in the bottom of the jar, never to be seen again, and I need a longer handle for better brush control, as I have some tremors and need to be able to rest the brush against my hand to help balance it. Handle aside, the "striping brush" has bristles way too short to be a true striping brush, and it's also much fatter than a good striping brush should be; it will kinda sorta work, but the lines will be chunky. The detail brush is ok, but again, a little thicker than what I'd normally look for in a true detail brush capable of what I'd consider to be actual detail work. The dotting tool is fine, nothing out of the ordinary here. Overall, I'm very disappointed in the set. If the handles were longer, I'd try snipping out a few bristles to see if I could make them work for what I need, but they are completely unusable by me with these tiny handles.

Not even worth $2

Bought this after a professional manicure and wanted to recreate a french manicure or various designs at home. I tried both brushes: they were so stiff, they literally scratched off the existing polish instead of applying color on top, Don't buy this product.
