The shade is amethyst, and its name is "Amethyst". However, the color of the eyeshadow pencil is more brownish gray than purple.It unexpectedly reduces puffiness on the upper eyelid and can be used for both light makeup and a small smoky eye look. Among the six or seven eyeshadow pencils I have, it's not the smoothest, but it's the most long-lasting. In fact, sometimes, for oily eyelids, pursuing too much smoothness might not be necessary.

I received the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eyeshadow in Rosegold for my honest review and I am very happy I did. I have developed an allergy to powder eye shadows in my later years and this product is a game changer! The Caviar Stick glides on my eyelid without pulling and it blends very easily. The shimmer is just the right amount to brighten my eyelids and the product stays on until I take it off. What a great find!
