strange consistency
I am not sure if this balm came expired or not. It has a lot of natural ingredients and the ingredients separated out before I even received it. When I opened it up, I had to stir it with a Qtip. It did not stir like a normal cream. This now looks like a whipped balm. It has a strong smell to it yet...

So, I was really excited about this product because I always use Earth Harbor products- it's my daily ritual!! I wanted to work on my night time routine and thought it would be nice to add this in. I got it close to when it first came out, but I didn't actually write a review for my experience yet. When I first tried it, I used it very sparingly and only targeted certain areas of my face just before bed. However I noticed that I was starting to get a few massive white heads appearing after that. It was the only thing I changed about my routine and I get pimples here and there but not like this. I feel sad to have to give this product a low review but it's the only bad experience I've had with an Earth Harbor product! Maybe they need to change the formula I'm not sure. PS, I have mixed skin type, T zone oily but other areas dry.

My new nighttime cream! I've been using it once a week and can already tell a difference in the texture of my skin. It is softer.

It did not stir like a normal cream. This now looks like a whipped balm. It has a strong smell to it yet it is a natural herbal smell. The balm is purple. It is not easy to get out of the jar. It is hard to rub it into my skin evenly. It is greasy. You can not wear this under makeup. I decided to try it with all of these negative features. It has not irritated my skin. It may be helping my expression line. I bought it bc it has Bakuchiol in it and that is a retinol alternative. My skin is too sensitive for retinol. I personally would not recommend this. I will not buy it again. If you are looking for a Bakuchiol cream, try any of these instead: DIME TBT Clean Retinol Alternative Cream, Good Molecules Bakuchiol Oil or Olehenriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye gel cream.
