I bought this lip elixer in the shade midnight lychee because I thought it'd be a black honey dupe, however there were some things I didnt enjoy about this product. For one it makes this squeaky noise whenever you open or close it, and when you try to take the applicator out its kinda stuck in the tube so you have to put a little effort to pull it out, pushing it in is easier but still, I have other lippies and this one makes me put more effort pulling out and pushing in. The applicator is stiff too, and the cushion part is coarse when applying on my lips, not soft or gentle at all. It has a slight sweet smell, not minty, if anyone is into that. The texture isnt as thick as elf lip oils, it's probably like 20% less thick, what's interesting is that for a thin and triangular-ish applicator, it didnt have the BEST application compared to my other lippies, it was easier for me to spread it on my face, AND application was uneven. POOLING is an issue, BIG issue, I did not like this part. GENTLY smack or RUB your lips, or else the product will leave an imprint on your lips. My stains, glosses, lip oils, and other lippies dont do this, but this particular product does which I do not like at all. Maybe its my skintone or undertone (I'm a proud olive 🙋🏻♀️) but the color didn't look the best on me, MY FAULT to be honest, however after wearing it for awhile, it doesn't look as contrasting or abnormal on my skin! If you do purchase this, I recommend this: wear something to cover your shirt or any area so that when youre pulling it out you dont get it splashed on you, apply thin layers to avoid product pooling. If you want the extra pigment then you can apple more, but again, I hate it when it pools on my lips. Because its not as thick as some other lip oils I feel like it'll dry down quicker, not the most hydrating product, but hey, I'm mostly here for the color. Is this a black honey dupe? Well, its more pigmented than the lip and cheek oil, comparable/less pigmented than the black honey gloss, and not the most similar to the almost lipstick. But the color isnt BAD after wearing for a bit, I actually like it. BUT, I would probably not purchase again :(

I loved the tint it gave my lips…very lucious did not need to much. It is not last long wear unfortunately. It also lacks the tacky or mintiness that elixirs have. Not bad for the price.
