Not what the photo shows

I bought this after hearing such good reviews about this particular eyelash so I purchased this online not too long ago to try them out myself. Lo & behold when I opened my package, the lash itself didn't even look the same as the lashes that's being displayed for advertisement. The one in the adver...tisement shows lashes that look more subtle, natural almost and the hairs appear much shorter. The one I received is quite dark, dramatic, long, etc. everything I didn't want. I like dramatic lashes don't get me wrong, however, me being Asian and have typical small eyes, I'm very particular on what looks good on my rather small eyes & I feel this eyelash set most likely isn't going to do well on my eyes. I took it out of the package & held it up to my eyes to see if I needed to trim & I definitely will need to which will ruin the lash because of the way it's designed (multi-layered w/big clusters or spikes every other or so few hairs). If I could provide a side by side comparison photo I would upload it here but, unfortunately, Ulta doesn't give that option. I give this 2 stars for now because the band is thicker which hopefully means you can get more than one use out of it & it's black so I won't really need eyeliner to wear this (I apply my lashes underneath my lashes). It still looks pretty regardless even though it doesn't look anything like what the photo is advertising. I'll still keep it & try it out to see how it looks so I'll be updating this review later on. It's just not worth the hassle of returning & exchanging which is why I purchased online in the first place. I suggest if you can, go in store & compare the lashes to see if they're all the same or perhaps a manufacturer defect. The company probably thinks it can get away with differently looking false eyelashes while giving them the same name but I'm not fooled. FYI, this also happened with my Ardell lashes too.
