Most Helpful Positive Review Cerave knocks it out of the park...but is it inclusive?
This sunscreen has a wonderful texture. It goes on smooth like Cerave's other lotions, and leaves a nice subtle glow. My experience with other tinted mineral sunscreens is that they overly matte or still make me look washed out somehow but this one just looks like my skin. This is definitely the best mineral/tinted sunscreen I have found so far, and far cheaper than what I was using before. It includes other skin-improving ingredients standard to many Cerave lotions, including Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinimide. It also has Salicylic acid in it, which is a bit confusing to me since I was under the impression that SA and other acne fighting acids make your skin more sensitive to the sun, but I also just read something about SA protecting against UV damage?
My only question would be: I'm quite fair-skinned and a bit skeptical that this product would be equally invisible on darker tones. I can't test this myself, but just wondering what other people's experiences are? I know that good mineral sunscreen options can be harder to find for darker-skinned people. I would love to see Cerave have another option that comes out darker than peach!
Most Helpful Critical Review Great protection, but it broke me out :(
I tried this sunscreen out for about a month and a half. The sun protection was fantastic, but something in the sunscreen didn't agree with my skin. I work in daycare and we take the kids outside twice a day for approximately an hour each time. There were days when we were outside for four hours and the sunscreen held up. The sunscreen is a little orange but it was so blendable that it didn't really show. It does rub off on the inside and edges of the mask. It is harder to remove than most sunscreens but I suppose that can be a con or pro depending on how you look at it. Sometimes it stayed on through an oil and cream cleanser but if you're patient you can get it all off. I recommend this product just not for me!

Is a decent tinted sunscreen. Do not use if you have oily skin. I like to mix it with one of my more drying sunscreens to even them out.
Love! Buying more!

I love this! I finally have my skin routine down after lots of fails with my combination to oily skin. I use my hydro boost moisturizer first and then use this before my Clinique liquid matte. I tried using it on its own before my foundation and my skin started to overproduce oil and make me break out. Finally found the way it works for me! I do need a makeup wipe/cotton round to cleanse after and before I use a face wash though because in my experience it doesn't come off well with just a light cleanser.
Comes off way to easily
Nimi from Bakersfield
Feels smooth on the skin, gives good light coverage. I just wish it was waterproof! Woulda given it 5 stars if it didn't come off so easily. Choose a waterproof sunscreen if your working out or doing something sweaty.
I love this!

I really like this tinted sunscreen. I love that it's mineral-based only (very suitable for acne prone skin) and I love the tint. I'm fairly pale and I truly don't think it gives off an orange appearance. I have combination skin but I also started prescription retinols 2 months ago so my face is extremely dry right now and flaking. This works perfectly. I do 2 layers and find it works well and doesn't pill. I could see that it can be a little drying after the 2 layers but even for me it worked well. A lot of sunscreens right now either pill for me or break me out and this does neither! Highly recommend.
Nice, but dark for fair skin

So I like this sunscreen the feel isn't sticky or greasy. I have oily to combination skin and very acne prone. If you are fair skinned this is orange leaning. I am fair skinned with redness and acne, it does have mice coverage but it's too dark for me. If you have a medium to lighter skin tone this may be great for you!
Looks amazing but drying
Wood from Tulsa
I really love this but it dries my cheeks. I like yo put sunblock on my neck too. It stain my clothes too. It looks beautiful under makeup. I just wish it didn't stain my clothes or was too drying.
Favorite Face Sunscreen
Sarah Ashley from Boston, MA
I try to use this every day but I definitely apply it when I know I'm going to be outside. I love the way it looks on me and blends in so easily. I don't feel I have to wear any other makeup over it. I just throw on some mascara and I'm out the door. I also appreciate how light and non-greasy it feels on my face. That is why I only use this sunscreen on it. The only con is that when I'm in a rush to go out the door, it is a little bit tough to remove with regular soap. I either have to use dish detergent, dial soap or wipe the residue off my hands before washing them or else I can't get a lather going. Other than that I love it :)
Wears like a lightweight foundation
NatureGirl from Santa Monica, CA
My dermatologist recommended I get a mineral sunscreen with at least 10% Zinc and a tint to wear daily to protect my skin from UVA/UVB since I have malasma, which has caused me to get dark age spots on my face. I decided to try this CeraVe sunscreen since it met the requirements, and what a great surprise it was! It looks like a lightweight foundation that goes on smoothly, is moisturizing, and minimizes my age spots. The tint blends well with my tan face. I wear it alone as a foundation, but it also looks great under my foundation and concealer. I highly recommend it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

Absolutely love this product. It's not too heavy or too light. Great under the masks!
Ari from Arizona
Was excited to try this out but after trying it, I am DISAPPOINTED. I am pretty light but do have some red and color to my face. Only used a little to test it out and it came out super orange on me.
Not my favorite :/

I don't like leaving bad reviews but it does not layer well with makeup. That alone would've been fine but it leaves a terrible white cast. I'm pale and usually go for the lightest shades of makeup, but this white cast still shows
Bao from Tulsa
This blends into my skin perfectly! It's goes on well with my other skin care products. Doesn't pill. Some people said it's greasy but I like it. I do have dry skin, so I don't mind the greasy feeling of it. My foundation went on beautifully on top! It pretty much checked all my boxes that I want in a sunscreen.
My favorite!! Works for my adult acne prone skin
jamelu from San Diego, CA
My daily sunscreen I couldn't live without! Love the tint, blends in nicely but not over makeup-y or cake-y. Mid 30s and always have had acne prone skin, this sunscreen does NOT make me break out! I love it!

Too dark for my skin tone.
Worst mineral SPF EVER
Laura from Indianapolis, Indiana
I have been using mineral SPF for YEARS! So I was excited when CeraVe came out with an SPF. This is SO disappointing! I was expecting so much better from CeraVe. This SPF makes you shiny! It is sticky! It is WAY to dark and does not blend into every skin tone like most tinted moisturizers do! I could not wait to get this off my face. I would not recommend this to anyone! Plus SPF 30 it's a little weak in my opinion. I only wear 35+ daily.
Leaves white streaks!!!
Angii from VA
I have beige skin tone and this left me looking ashy and left white cast! Doesn't blend at all. Very drying.
It has a nice look, but...
UltimateShopper from PNW
This is very hydrating, looks like foundation, does not break me out, nor bothers my rosacea. The only con is that I am getting freckles. I don't get that with other sunscreens. I wish they would make and SPF 50.
Feels very dry
Not one for all from DALLAS
Leaves medium-deep dark skin tone with a white cast. Not Hydrating at all.
Yay! I don't have to look like a ghost anymore.
Sensitive sunscreen user from Ohio
I can't wear chemical based sunscreens, so I have to use mineral based sunscreens which make me look sickly. This tinted sunscreen allows me to look and not like I am trying to be a shade lighter.
Won't purchase again
Sad purchase from Los Angeles
Overall it had a very nice feeling and was super smooth to apply and really gave me a nice little tint that i wanted from this product. But the moment i got into the sun it made my skin feel so icky i had to wipe it off immediately and actually apply normal sunscreen. :( i was hoping for this product to perform better….
I have dry to normal skin.
Maybe it was just my skin.
It felt better when i was inside rather than outside in the sun.
so far so good
Breezy from CA
just picked this up recently and it actually matches my skin tone perfectly. i don't use foundation so this works as a way to protect my skin while evening it out as well. i apply it over my moisturizers and then layer my makeup over it! if you're fair skinned it may be too orangey and if you're darker it may leave a white cast. i think this tinted sunscreen works best if you have medium, or olive toned skin. but you also never know so it's worth a shot! (:
Love this more than I expected!
ProductHound from Pacific NW
I love this! Nice color, hydrating, good coverage and great semi matte look. I won't be using foundation at all this summer , which is a nice surprise. I wish Cerave would formulate a tinted SPF 50.
Wouldnt buy again

Received this as a gift and do not like it. Tried putting it on my face and arms, but it doesnt blend in all the way. I feel that a regular sunscreen would work better.
Skin cleared up
emily from New York
I know this sunscreen isn't for everyone but it works so well with my skin, worth to try out. I had dark spots from acne before and some breakouts, and since using my breakouts have gone away and dark spots are getting lighter. I have dry skin and a tan complexion so there is not white cast and I don't look greasy 👍🏼
Good glow, but clogs pores
Mo from Washington DC
I was really surprised with how well this blended into my skin and did not look to orange/oily. It provided even coverage for a few hours. I noticed that it became patchy in oilier areas. I've used it a couple times, and have had several breakouts afterward--definitely is not good for acne prone and oil skin but I would still recommend it to someone looking for coverage & sun protection with dry skin! I would still use this product in a pinch, just make sure to scrub my face directly afterward.
