Apply ORLY Bonder basecoat (sold separately). Apply a thin first coat of the magnetic polish and allow it to dry. Apply a second coat for full coverage and hold the magnet directly over the nail before it dries to reveal your design. Allow to dry. Finish with your favorite ORLYⓇ topcoat (sold separately). Maintain your manicure using ORLY Cuticle Oil (sold separately) 2 times a day.

Gorgeous color!
I'll be honest. I don't really care about Harry Potter, but when I saw this green shade (my favorite color!), I couldn't resist. And wow, I'm so glad I grabbed it. This was my first time trying a magnetic nail polish, and after watching the tutorial video and following the instructions, it was super easy to get the effect. Absolutely stunning. The green has so much depth and movement... it's sooo cool, and I can't stop staring at my nails. It feels magical without me even being a Harry Potter fan. The formula applied beautifully and the color is just gorgeous. Definitely one of my new favorites!

Love the color and the magnet makes it look like there's movement of the color.
Takes multiple coats
Overall I love this! You'll need a thick coat to get the magnetic bits to move, 1-2 thin coats won't cut it. I did one thin coat, then a thicker 2nd applied the magnet right away it worked great! Be patient while it dries. No pic b/c it's on my toes!

Big HP and ORLY Fan here! Seeing some bad reviews about application. I'm a little more experienced than the average consumer with cat eye / magnets. The key is to let the first coat fully dry and then you magnetize the second coat. Otherwise the magnet pulls the layers off. Actually a great tutorial to see if you scan the QR code. Love it. Love that ulta finally has a magnetic nail polish (even if its limited edition)! These are great nail lacquers that apply so evenly. The directions recommend doing a base coat of the color first without using the magnet, and then applying a thicker second coat and then using the magnet to get the design you want. The thicker the coat is, the better the design will turn out! Since its a nail lacquer, theres a drying time. I noticed when applying the second coat that if it wasnt thick the magnet couldnt do much. These also are not as opaque as a gel polish, I put two coats on and since the second one was thicker it gave some more coverage but I'd recommend using a black or similar colored regular nail polish as a base coat to get a more opaque result! Overall, very happy with these!
