Q
Is this product non comedogenic also like the gel cleanser cause it doesn't say on the bottle
Asked by V
Official Answer By La Roche-Posay - BE
Hello there! The term non-comedogenic indicates that the product has a low potential for clogging pores. The presence or absence of oil in a product does not mean a product will or will not be non-comedogenic. Not all products are tested for non-comedogenicity. If the non-comedogenic claim does not appear on the product, it is not an indication the product is comedogenic. This goes the same for the Effaclar Gel Facial Wash for Oily Skin. I have had terrible trouble with skin cleansers for what seems like forever and a day, until i read all of these reviews and bought this product. LET ME TELL YOU, this stuff *points with thumb and a smug look* this stuff is great. I've been using it for 3 weeks, and although i still have minor acnes...

This cleanser is definitely not the right one for me. Even though I have a really oily t-zone, this is way too drying for me. It makes my skin all tight and dry afterwards. I really like the scent of this, but I also wish it was scented at the same time as fragrance isn't good for the skin. If you l...

This stuff is great!

I have oily skin and am 50 years old. This feels calming and soothing and has already (in 2 days) made the blackheads on my nose less visible. I use it when washing my face at the sink, but am also considering using a 2nd bottle in the shower for the acne and clogged pores on my back and shoulders.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

The best for oily skin

This cleanser might be too harsh for regular skin, but it is the holy grail for my very oily skin. I have been getting fewer breakouts since I switched to this cleanser. It also smells nice and I like the foaming action. A little goes a long way, so I think the size is fine. Because of how much it foams up, you need less than a pea sized amount.

Smaller size & Higher price

I use La Roche Posay cleaners all my life and my oily skin loves them. Bought this one for the first time only to realize upon receiving it that it's not the usual 400ml size but a 125ml one at the same price as the big one. As if LRP products aren't already far more expensive in the US compared to Europe. Frustrated.

Very stripping

Using this product is an extremely unpleasant experience. It is the most stripping product I've ever used. "Squeaky clean" after rinsing off, leaving a residue-like feeling on my face and hands. I have very oily skin and persistent adult acne, so I thought I would like this face wash.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

This is the absolute best oily skin facial cleanser! A teeny dab lathers up into a dirt-busting foam that leaves the skin feeliing super clean, but not stripped.
