To cover rosacea and scarring I've used L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte in Shell Beige 102, and Lancome Dual Finish Foundation Powder in 220 Buff II (Cool). They're no longer providing enough coverage. Is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Max Cover Camouflage foundation more opaque than those two and, if so, which shade would be the closest match to the ones I listed. Thank you.

Is this waterproof on its own, and if not, would it be waterproof if I used setting powder? Also would it smudge or transfer? And could I put sunscreen over it?

- Official Answer By Estee Lauder USThank you for your question. Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Foundation for Face and Body SPF15 is water-proof on it's own. The coverage is full and there is no need to set this Foundation with a Powder. If you like to apply Powder, a loose formula like Estee Lauder Sheer Flattery Loose Powder, would be best. The Foundation is longwearing but not transfer-resistant. If you want to add additional sunscreen, we recommend applying the sunscreen under the Foundation rather than over it.Was this answer helpful to you

It is not a transfer-resistant formula, however. I have used this off and on since around 1995. I deal with a little vitiligo and melasma and this product is the OG full coverage foundation. It's lightweight and effective. The pigmentation is a LOT more stable than it once was. It keeps getting better as makeup tech evolves. Amazing and a classic for good reason.

I have like TWO shades one darker one lighter in my makeup bag I am dealing w so much skin problems*(along w aging gracefully)* and this helps me a lot It stays doesn't take too much but you got to work fast (well I did anyways)I'm oily combination mature skin lady in my early 50s And this foundation is definitely is my most favourite!also.. is this making a comeback??And how about for us up here in Canada? 🇨🇦

ive used this the past year, its my favorite full coverage waterproof foundation!!!!! Extremely full coverage but so lightweight. Its a product that doesnt get enough social media attention, and for that im scared they will discontinue. Im stocking up when i can.

Hi this is my favorite in the whole world, I love it. I am a dental assistant a d it stays out under my mask and it's flawless. You can not use a powder on top of it at all it does not need one and if you do it does not work out so maybe that's why it doesn't work for all anyway. I was always a medium deep and the shades changed I have been using the regular double wear which is also nice but I still love this double wear I want to get some but I don't know what medium deep is now I believe it is no a shade anymore please help also you only have to use a little bit of this product a little and blend evenly in small fast strokes with a brush works for me so I will do sections it will blend wonderfully if done like this for me it did for years also it doesn't get everywhere for me it stays put but if you squeeze out too much it goes a long way so that could be the case for some. I have had plenty of experience with this and it's a little bit spread out evenly if not it probably will go every where it sets and sets does not rub off but that is what I like about it not everyone needs this coverage but it sounds like from the reviews some tried it and did not know what to expect or was not what they needed either way I need a shade match for the medium deep I use warm vanilla in the other double wear but I that is just a substitute for now plus that shade is not as good of a match as the med deep was thank you

Absolute garbage! Low quality, just like supermarket brands!!! First, the color shades are totally different from other Estee Lauder foundations and Futurist Hydra Rescue, which I've used for years. It rubbed off everywhere, whether you finished setting powder or not. It's greasy and cumbersome on the skin! Not recommended at all!
