Tanologist Daily Glow - Brightening Gradual Tan Lotion

This is a really easy to use gradual tan! When I bought this I didn't realize I had picked up the medium to dark, so I applied it on its own after exfoliating. The next morning the tan had developed too fast since it's technically not the right shade for me, and it was streaky. BUT now I use it regularly with very natural results by mixing it in with my regular lotion. I get a nice, even color without streaks by doing it this way. I just take a dry washcloth after I finish applying it & lightly scrub the areas I need the tan to avoid (elbows, knees, between fingers etc.) I have a big body & so far the bottle has lasted me quite a while! I think if you were to use it every other day as a plus size person it would probably last about 2 months (when using it mixed with lotion). Also, the weird tan smell is very minimal and you could spray a vanilla perfume on & no longer smell it. I would recommend this if you're like me and dont want a stark tan, just some color to look less ghostly in summer :) However, I dont think this will be strong enough colorwise for someone with a medium to dark skintone. Really would only see much of a difference if you're like a nc42 medium or lighter.

So far after 2 full days, I have to squint to see if there is any color comparison between my two arms. I am pale olive skin tone, so this should show up pretty fast on someone pale since it's medium to dark color. I have been self tanning for over 20 years off and on and used so many brands. After 2 days of gradual tanners I usually look like I applied one coat of regular self tanner. Not the case with this. One arm is my test arm to make sure no reactions occur, which none did. This is a very gentle product and I do appreciate that. If you are sensitive you should be fine, but scent might be way too strong at first if you react to fragrances. After 4 hours, the initial scent wears off and you can barely smell any self tanner smell, but there is a smell that is very light. Smells like sweat and being in sun at beach, which I guess is better than nasty DHA smell you usually get. I would choose Jergens over this, which says a lot because that smells awful, but at least it works. The amount of DHA in this product must be extremely low, which is my guess. So if you want to use a lotion everyday and hope to get some color after weeks of using, this might be okay for you.

This is an incredible product! It smells lovely but isn't over powering, the lotion absorbs extremely quickly and doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or heavy. My skin was tan within 24 hours of using it and it's lasting for a while!

I used this for a week and saw absolutely no change in my color. And my legs are ghostly white.

The smell is heavenly, the texture is light and creamy, it absorbs quick without leaving me sticky. And the golden glow is so natural looking! I use it after rinsing off the foam to lock in the tan. Favorite!
