- Q
How is this different than the Essence? Do you use both? Thank you!
- Asked by Peach & Lily Lover
- Official Answer By Peach & Lily - Brand EngageHello! Thank you for the question! The Bio Rice Wine Softening Toner is meant to balance the pH of skin post cleansing and add calming and barrier rebuilding properties to the skin which can be lost with many cleansers or exfoliators. The Wild Dew Treatment Essence is the Korean secret to flawless and well hydrated skin. In Korean beauty toner and essence are used together in a single routine, however you can choose to do one over the other if you need a more modest skin routine. Essences are made to flood your skin with specific long lasting hydration to increase the absorption of all your other treatment products. Think of it like a personal trainer for your skin care routine! Our Wild Dew Treatment also adds in brightening and soothing benefits to the skin to amplify the results of the rest of your routine. While these are better together you can select the one that most fits your skin's daily needs. Hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Does the toner smell good or bad?
- Asked by Mari
- Official Answer By Peach & Lily - Brand EngageHello! Peach & Lily is a fragrance free brand so what you will be smelling is the natural aroma of the the ingredients. With that being said, this product has up to 9 different fermented ingredients, making it incredibly beneficial for the skin barrier. The smell of the toner seems to be perceived differently tby everyone. Some people report not detecting any and others report hints of something similar to kombucha or a wine like smell. For some people it's undetectable and for others it can be passing aroma. Very ephemeral, but will register with people very differently. However, keeping our products fragrance free means they are suitable for even the most sensitive skin types. This product is based off of the popular Korean Makgeolli (which is a Korean milky rice wine). It's definitely worth a try! We love this product for healing and hydrating our skin! Was this answer helpful to you

This toner or your brand's "The Good Acids Toner" for older, dry skin with large pores? Thank you!
- Asked by Mary B.
- Official Answer By Peach & Lily - Brand EngageHello! The Good Acids Pore Toner is best for oilier skin types that are prone to breakouts, while the Bio Rice Wine Toner is best for combo-dry skin types and is especially great for repairing the skin's barrier and softening the skin. You can use both (one in the AM and one in the PM based on what your skin needs in the day) or these may be seasonal products for you and you can use the Bio Rice Wine in the winter months and The Good Acids during the summer months! We hold you love and find value with both! Was this answer helpful to you

Gentle and refreshing
I really like this toner. It is light, hydrating, and gentle on my skin. After using for a few weeks, my skin does feel softer and calmer with the really dry air and fires going on. I had actually stopped using toners for a while because they would be too harsh, too drying, or irritating in general ...

It's Just Ok
This is hydrating for my sensitive acne prone combination skin. It also makes my face feel soft without it feeling or looking oily. The product has not caused any irritation or acne. There is a faint alcohol smell from the fermentation, but it dissipates quickly. I like this, but I don't love it. Th...

I really like this toner. I was using the good acids toner before which I also liked, but this toner seems to moisturize and prep the skin for the rest of the routine.
Glow !

It has a bit of a smell - one that I can overlook since the results are lovely ! My skin is noticeably more radiant and has a glow, has evened out my dark tones. I have very oily skin and it hasn't caused any sensitivities or breakouts ! I love it - making it a staple ASAP

I purchased this toner based upon the recommendation of my esthetician. She encourages the use of clean products to support my older skin. The toner is different than my previous product and I've noticed a difference in my skin after less than a month. The reason for 4 stars is that it feels different on the cotton ball than I am used to and I find myself reapplying product to the cotton ball to adjust. If you're new to clean products, the feel upon application might feel different - but worth it.
