- Q
Is this product noncomedogenic?
- Asked by Kayla
- Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand EngageHi! We definitely understand your concerns with the products' potential to clog pores. However, we’re hesitant about applying the non-comedogenic label to our products since there is no universal and agreed upon guideline. Comedogenic scales often vary depending on the source. When an ingredient is tested in a lab to determine the comedogenic capability, it is done in a rabbit's ear which is much more sensitive than human skin. Individual skin chemistry can determine the extent of an ingredient’s ability to clog pores, so it is highly variable between people. As such, the only way to be certain is to actually try out the product. The same ingredient when used in a different concentration or within a different formulation will vary as far as being comedogenic or not.Was this answer helpful to you

love, love, love
I had been using a regular retinol which was okay but I was over the 'burn' of redness the next day. Also, I would get a random deep cystic pimple and that's not okay. I have an oily t-zone and combination and sensitive skin and I was hesitant to try an oil, but I knew Bakuchiol would be more gentle...

I tried this because I am VERY sensitive to retinol and I have VERY oily skin. Overall, I like it - with a few caveats. I only use it at night (and not always every night): it's too oily for you me to wear during the day under makeup AND I am still a bit sensitive, so I'm cautious. I use it as sug...

Worth IT
Based on the comments below, there's not a lot more to add. I also have oily skin. Just like the other say the best time to use this is at night and not during the day. I love the way it makes my skin feel and look the smell isn't that great but I love the results.
Surprising LOVE!
I have combo/sensitive skin and my skin LOVES this product! I've been using this little bottle consistently for several months now. A little goes a long way! Plus, keeping the size small helps not be so wasteful and the product stays fresh. It has a bit of an earthy smell which I don't mind. It's very light weight for a facial oil! I use it at night and it makes my face feel soft and look healthy. Give it a try!
Don't recommend this oil
I bought this today thinking it would help my skin because I have oily skin and am trying to fix it. I used it and noticed my face start peeling and that was even after I exfoliating it. Very disappointed with this product.

I tried this because I am VERY sensitive to retinol and I have VERY oily skin. Overall, I like it - with a few caveats. I only use it at night (and not always every night): it's too oily for you me to wear during the day under makeup AND I am still a bit sensitive, so I'm cautious. I use it as suggested as the LAST step in my nighttime routine, so over moisturizer. In my case, although I'm 54, I still don't have many fine lines or wrinkles but it still appears to diminish the look of my laugh lines and under eye creases. All that said, I'm giving this a 3 because of the SMELL - it's like old French fry grease. Although I'm pleased that it clearly has no fragrance added, the fragrance it has is a little GROSS!
