please read, i was in the trial
For everyone wanting to use, or currently trying this product, I wanted to say a few things. I was actually in the trial group of people that used this product before it was presented to the public without a prescription. It was a group of a few hundred people, we were monitored online, filled weekl...

Oh my god.
Uh okay. Believe me when I say it works. Takes a bit but it works. It does burn during that process. For me, and maybe some of you reading this, after using it 2-3 times, your skin begins to dry your skin out severely. You use the product, wait 30-45 minutes to moisturize, but when I say moisturize,...

Take your time.
I first started off with the rescue retinol from Hero- highly recommend this product btw. Until i got used to it. Then i made the switch to this one. I love it. Started off using it as a spot treatment! I love how fast it heals wounds, esp new ones. Eventually i started using all over my face. I've been consistent for 1 month so i cant say its healed my acne. Mine seems to be hormonal but time will tell. Recommend for spot treatment - 1000%
Love this!
Clears up acne but you 100% need a good lotion! I use aquafor with this when my skin gets very dry but besides that regular lotion will do.
Cured my cystic acne!

I rarely write reviews but this product really deserves one. I developed cystic acne in my early 20s that consisted of painful breakouts all over my face. I never thought my acne would disappear after having used several non-prescription cleansers and serums over the years. I started using this last year and assumed it wouldn't work (that month of purging is normal). My process: I used a CeraVe cleanser every morning, then applied this gel and continued with a moisturizer (CeraVe) afterwards as not destroy my skin barrier. It is now year later and my acne is GONE and I do not break out at all. This wasn't a quick process for me and I did not notice immediate results, even 5 months in. I highly recommend this product and I hope it works for you the way it did for me, but have patience.
Go slow, low, and moisturize
After trying everything else, I bought this for treating blackheads on my teenagers t-zone on otherwise sensitive, dry skin. It takes a while to see results but the blackheads are shrinking (yay!) and he has less acne breakouts. He uses it sparingly and applies it lightly at night, then follows with a noncomedogenic moisturizer.
MY HOLY GRAIL!!

I have used this since I went off [the extremely intense Vitamin A oral acne medication] 2 years ago per my derm's recommendation. I have used prescription topical retinoids before and this works exactly the same way. I am convinced that people who have rated this lower are not using it correctly. If you have sensitive skin like me, try using this every other day AT NIGHT ONLY. After cleansing - I double cleanse, then apply Tatcha's Essence to help my products set in better). Apply a pea sized amount to affected areas - I like to do my cheeks, chin, jawline, and forehead. Wait a few minutes (30 is suggested but who has the time?), then generously apply moisturizer - I use a thick cream; Vanicream moisturizing cream for dry, sensitive skin has been my go-to lately. Don't use any other serums the same day that you use this product, not even in the morning - it is that powerful. Also MAKE SURE that you use a strong SPF on your face during the day if you are using any retinoid in your routine. Whenever I incorporate this into my routine my skin looks much clearer. And for that price point, it's truly a godsend.
