Loving Tan 2 HR Express Self Tanning Mousse Ultra Dark

I recently bought this 2hr Express tan in Ultra Dark, and I LOVE it. I've been using the Loving Tan Platinum tan every week for over a year, but I think I'll switch to this one now. The color pay-off is actually very similar >8 hours after application, but the difference is that this one can be washed off after 2hrs. Previously I always tanned overnight while sleeping, but I don't find it that comfortable - so I love that I can put this one on for 2hrs in the evening, wash it off before bed, and then wake up to a perfect tan. It's definitely not fully developed after 2hrs, so if that's your expectation then you'll be disappointed - but think of it more in terms of the comfort of only needing to have the sticky, messy guide color on for 2hrs! That in itself is a game changer for me.

I've tried so many tanners at all different price points and this one is definitely my favorite. Many reviews say they wash it off and they didn't notice a difference in their color - THIS TANNER TAKES 24 HOURS TO DEVELOP. I was disappointed when I first washed it off because my skin barely looked tan and just had a bit of a pink tone to it but it developed beautifully and into a much deeper tan by the next day! I'd recommend putting it on 24 hours before an event/trip so it can fully develop. The color was very natural looking on me and didn't come out orange, it had more of a pinkish undertone which suited my skin well. It also fades nicely and doesn't become patchy/scaly looking like other tanners I've used. The application was easy and I didn't get any streaks. It definitely is a more expensive tanner and cheaper tanners like bondi sands ultra dark can get you a similar depth in color, but I think for how nicely this fades and how long it lasts it is definitely worth it for me.

For years, I worked As a supervisor at a tanning salon. I was one of the top sellers in my company and I specialized in self tanning/spray tans. I started Self tanning when JWoww came out with her sunless spray. I bought nearly 20 bottles of that messy stuff before it was discontinued. I then switched to Cal Tan sunless mousse and actually modeled that product for New Sunshine. I loved it until I found this product. If you know what you're doing, this stuff works great! It is a natural looking color. No orange. My husband makes fun of me for living in FL and being super pale and I use ultra dark. I get a nice, dark result with this. The best thing you can do is exfoliate, shave, then apply this to DRY skin. No lotion. It absorbs so much better and you're left with better color results. For my face, I do all my skincare then apply the self tanner with a makeup brush and it looks so good! I have tried the facial product from Loving Tan and I am not a fan. Use a mitt because this stuff stains your hands instantly if you don't. It does not streak so you can use circular motions or however you want really. Be sure to shower with sulfate free products and moisturize daily to help it last.

For the price of this self tanner, it is just not it. While the color guide is very helpful and it dries quickly, it doesn't last/fades quickly. It tends to end up streaky as well. Loving Tan needs to fix the formula or drop the price.

I was scared to use this because my skin super fair, but im glad I did! It's so good and the best loving tan product I've tried! I will say, this is a trust the process tan. You'll rinse after two hours and think it's horrible because you have no color, but it's still developing. When you wake up the next day the color is literal perfection! Like I said, my skin ia very fair and the color is so natural on me!
