Most Helpful Positive Review Best Beauty Blender Competitor!
I absolutely love this! When I came across this on the website, I thought is this another generic hard like sponge, or is this another real deal or cheaper alternative to the beauty blender! I bought it, and I loved it. At first I didn't know what I was doing because there were no directions. To dampen or not to dampen, so I tried both ways and yes you are suppose to dampen it. For those who are a budget buyer like myself, this is gonna be your best friend! It blends the same as a beauty blender, gives you amazing flawless coverage, and such a healthy glow. Amazing for all skin types and a bonus for those who have dry skin like me, because when dampen it adds extra moisture to the skin. The only con is, it is hard to wash, and it takes longer to get the soap out. Also when squeezing it compared to the beauty blender you will notice it loses its shape a little while the beauty blender stays in tact! I'm afraid it may give up on me early, but overall you get a bang for your buck and can't beat the price! I have a full on review and beauty blender comparison on my channel http://www.youtube.com/ReesieCherie I would love your feedback!
Most Helpful Critical Review Disappointed
I've been debating writing this review for a while because it differs from the popular opinion. Many people say that this sponge is comparable to the Beauty Blender and others prefer this sponge over the Beauty Blender. I actually dislike this sponge and don't think it's a good investment.
I've purchased this sponge three times now because I was hoping that I had just received a bad sponge. However, I'm starting to believe that what I'm experiencing is the norm for the Real Techniques sponge.
The sponge starts off performing very well. It's soft, squishy, and bounces comfortably off the face when applying makeup... that is, for a short while. I've noticed that all of my sponges lose their shape after about 5 washes and then it becomes a pain to use. After dampening the sponge and wringing it out, the sponge holds dents from my fingers rather than bouncing back like it should. The dents in the sponge make it hard to get an even application when applying makeup.
I love the sponge at first but three different sponges have started losing their shape after less than a months worth of use/washing.
I purchased my original Beauty Blender in a pack of 2 and the first sponge has lasted over 8 months with almost daily washing. It has never lost its shape and it performs like the first time, every time.
I think that the Real Techniques sponge is worth trying due to the low price point but I do not think it can compare to the Beauty Blender. It provides similar results but because it loses its shape so quickly, it loses its ability to be a multi-tasking product. I use my Beauty Blender to apply concealer, foundation, blush, highlight, and powder. The Real Techniques sponge I can really only use for foundation and concealer because not all sides of the sponge can blend product flawlessly due to the dents retained from my fingers wringing the sponge out.

I love how my foundation looks when I apply it with this sponge.
Better than beauty blender
Great from NY
You don't always have to wet this sponge to use it that's how great it is. I use this for powder as well and to blender concealer and foundation. Just use some soap and hot water and almost every single thing comes off.
They always have great sales. And the price compared to the beauty blender.
the beauty blender is so drying that you can't use it dry and it absorbs most of the product and the price is really high I bought for 4 in total. So the price was really high as compared to these I can buy way more of the real technique sponges for that amount of money.
And they don't clean as well and usually has more holes and slices on the blender

I have tried so many beauty blenders and this one is excellent! Blends so well and is a fabulous price!
Always always will use this sponge

What can I say , this blender is awesome ! I like it because it's firmer than the beauty blender and makes foundation application super easy and it doesn't break down and fall apart even after I wash it several times .
I would definitely buy this again!

I use this for my foundation everyday. It's just as good if not better than high end makeup sponges.

Ripped after couple of uses. Terrible quality.

I normally only purchase the original beauty blenders but at $20 a piece it got expensive. So I started trying several other brands. None worked like the original one did. Most of them were very firm and it made it harder to apply makeup to the hard to reach areas. Also, I always saturate with water first to keep them from absorbing too much makeup products and they didn't soak in the water so they used up my makeup faster. But these are the exact same texture and softness of the original blenders. It worked just as good and 1/4 of the price. I'm officially on board this train now and won't be spending $20 on the others anymore. Thank you RT!!!!!!
Eh Just Ok

I bought this sponge because of the reviews, but I personally didn't care for it. I thought it was too hard and the shape wasn't my favorite. I found it awkward to use for my cheeks and forehead because the rounded part was on the side rather than the bottom.
Did they change these?

These were my go-to sponges but I picked up a new one recently and it is much rougher/textured than they used to be. I've seen other people comment on this as well. Bring back the old version!

Great price and I love the flat edge. Good quality and easy to clean. I love this product so much I've repurchased it after having one for a few years.

This was the first time using a beauty blender. Wow! Can't believe I haven't used this before. Effortless. Easy. Flawless look. Highly recommend.

These are ok, they get the job done. They don't last long though and are not as soft as beauty blender sponge. I will keep trying other less expensive brands before I buy again.

Didn't know how to initially use this- would recommend you to read the instructions first. When used correctly, it Helps create an airbrushed look on your face with your make up. It does absorb the liquid foundation a bit more than I would like, but love the appearance it helps create. Can be used for an assortment of makeup.

THIS IS BETTER THAN THE REAL BEAUTY BLENDER. Do not waist your money on the real beauty blender it is not worth it. This one works perfectly fine and does the job for 5x Cheaper.
Not the best

It works but it's not as soft as other beauty sponges

Serves its purpose, it's great!

For that price is ok, but it's not too soft like for example beauty blender.
Tina from San Leandro, CA
This applied my liquid foundation flawlessly and felt good on my skin. I wet the sponge and squeezed out the excess water and it worked perfectly.
Jasmine from Charlotte, NC
Dampen sponge and flawlessly apply liquid foundation. I love it!

I love this sponge, I don't buy others. I love the vibrancy of the color and the softness of it.
Blends Well But Tears Easily
Emily from California
Great sponge, blends out cream and liquid products very well, but tears very easily when rehydrating it's washing. Just washed a new sponge for the first time and now there's a half inch tear in it.
