Comments about CeraVe Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Water:

I don't have sensitive skin or sensitive eyes, but this product burned my eyes & made them red when I tried to remove my eye makeup with it. I tried multiple different approaches and techniques to avoid it getting in my eyes, but it burned no matter what I tried. I was excited to try this product, because I am a huge fan of Cerave and have never had any problems with their products. It felt great going on my skin and left no residue, but as soon as I touched around my eyes with it, it burned. I couldn't even open my eyes for a few minutes, because they burned so badly.

Sadly this product burned my eyes and also severely dried out my sensitive skin. Didn't expect it to happen from a Cerave product , such a shame

Be careful around your eyes !!!

          By Valerie

          from Philadelphia

Comments about CeraVe Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Water:

This micellar water does a good job at taking off makeup, especially being that's what it supposed to do. But you have to be extremely careful around your eyes because it burns!! If you don't need to take any mascara or eye makeup off then I would recommend this, but there are so many other brands of micellar water, I wouldn't suggest this one. I love CeraVe and so many of their products but this one is not their best!

Comments about CeraVe Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Water:

I love CeraVe products and use several of them. I'm always looking for a gentle and effective eye makeup remover for my sensitive eyes. So when I saw that CeraVe had a micellar water, I thought it would be great. But when I used it to remove my eye makeup, it burned and left my eyes red and irritated. I even double-checked the label to be sure it was meant for use in the eye area. I've never had something sting my eyes that badly. It felt gentle on the skin around my eyes, but I would never put this on my face again. I'm returning it. How disappointing for this brand known for gentle products.

Comments about CeraVe Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Water:

I have sensitive skin and that's why I have been using CeraVe products for several years. I wanted to use a Micellar product to remove makeup, especially eye makeup, and chose this CeraVe product for my sensitive skin. BIG MISTAKE.
The first time I used this it made my face sting and turn red, especially my eyes. My eyes and eye lids were swollen, red and burning. I could not believe that it was possible for a CeraVe product to cause a reaction like this because it is supposedly to be made for sensitive skin. NOT THIS MICELLAR CLEANSER.
I was in such disbelief that I tried it the next day thinking that my reaction was caused by something else and not this CeraVe Micellar Cleanser. Well, the redness, pain and swelling got worse after the second use. I cannot ever use this again.
Now I see from these reviews that others have had the same reaction.
BEWARE!!!! Even if no other CeraVe product causes a problem with your shin, BEWARE OF THIS MICELLAR CLEANSER. I can leave red, swollen and in pain.
Wish I had had some warning about how bad this stull is.

          GIMME DAT PLUMP BABYFACE

          By Maddie

          from Chicago, IL

Comments about CeraVe Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Water:

I love everything about this Micellar water. It restores so much hydration to the face after cleansing that you feel as though it was never dry in the first place. I wear it happily day and night.

Other commenters have mentioned it stinging the eyes. That is true, it will. Products with niacinamide will do that. I would not recommend this product for eye makeup removal - choose a separate eye makeup remover (I use a generic version of Neutrogena's product) for that job and you'll be fine. This is a fantastic product for dry skin, period.

I do really enjoy this product. My bright red rosacea patches are fading, my skin feels clean and hydrated, and it is super easy to use. I use it to remove makeup and cleanse at night.

I do not use it to remove eye makeup. It does cause significant discomfort to my eyes. I just use a traditional eye makeup remover, then clean the rest of my face with this micellar water.

Comments about CeraVe Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Water:

So I always use Micellar water to cleanse at the end of the day because it's gentle and easy. I have used every different kind and was given this as a sample. Naturally, I used it on my face and then to remove my eye make up... DO NOT USE ON YOUR EYES. I never even write reviews - I just needed to warn you all about the PAINNNN I felt upon this touching my eye. PAIN.

Don't companies have to test any products that go near your eyes?! Reading the reviews below, I see I am having a very common reaction. BAD. will not be purchasing.

Eh. Takes the makeup off but stinks my eyes pretty badly. Have to use something else to take my eye makeup off. Skin feels nice and it's usually SOO dry. I use the whole CeraVe line except I don't think I'll be buying this again.

This product is good at cleaning the face however it severely burns the eyes and a slight sting on the face. Doubt that I will purchase this again as it does not seem to be for sensitive skin.
