I was standing in line waiting to pay for my merchandise the first time I ever set foot in an Ulta store, and these were hanging by where I was standing in line. I thought they looked really useful, especially since I had just bought a whole lot of new cosmetics, plus they were priced very fairly, so I grabbed them. The narrow tipped end of these is perfect for wiping up nail polish mistakes and for wiping away mascara or eyeliner mistakes. The wider end of these is good for applying eyeshadow or concealer. They are not the best for applying eyeshadow just because they aren't the smoothest, but when you are traveling or do not have an applicator that came with your eyeshadow they work good enough. I think these are very useful.
I bought these while traveling because I'd forgotten my makeup brushes at home, but I really did not like them for applying eye makeup. They're too stiff and harsh to be used dry, but when used wet they lose their shape easily and waste a lot of product. What they ARE good for is cleaning up mistakes in eyeliner, mascara, and nail polish application. Both ends work for this; just get it wet/ dip it in nail polish remover and gently swipe the unwanted product away.

Use this for makeup application, makeup mistakes clean-up, manicure mistakes clean-up. My best use is because I have bad allergies, I used these to get all the eye goop out. I use the rounded end and start at the inner corner of my eye, pick up the stringy goop and lift up. Then I use the pointed end to do it again and get the remainder. It sounds gross, but it is better than using a finger or a wash cloth. Tissues and q-tips leave fuzzy stuff behind. The cotton is wound so tightly on these applicators that they do not leave any fibers behind. Love them!

I ran out applicators and decided to give these a try. They are cheap and there is a lot of them. They work well for application and I love the one side has a fine point and it is great for little details and lines. If the size of your pallet, it can be hard to fit on small ones.

Tis is a MUST have on my make-up table. It is PERFECT to wipe away little make-up errors such as a dot of mascara under your eyes or to blend eyeliner. I just love these applicators!!

I actually use these to clean up mascara mistakes since I am messing putting on mascara. the narrow end it great for using under the bottom lashes without removing the mascara on my lashes. I just wet the tips with either remover or water for the clean up.

I use these to apply my lipstick. I don't like a heavy feeling lipstick do these are great at applying just the right amount. I have also used them for my eyeshadow. Great product to keep in your makeup bag.

I love the double ends one to get mascara off my lid and I use the other end to separate the lashes after applying mascara. Cheap too.
