Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

A handful of months ago I began to get cystic acne (possibly due to change in temperature/humidity.) It has since subsided, for reasons I'll never truly know. Having said that...

I think that this product played a VERY IMPORTANT ROLE in clearing up the deep cysts I was getting (and which I still get from time to time.) Now they never truly become horrendous. At the first sign of a bump on my face, I apply this at night time after my cleansing routine. If I wake up and am afraid that I might get too oily during the day, then I apply it after cleansing, let it dry, then wipe the area and apply makeup (this type of application also seems to work well.)

I don't think it really works on the little pimples (whiteheads), but for deep acne that just won't go away, I would highly recommend. It will take consistent use at night time (at a minimum) and will be worth every penny. The bottle lasts forever, since you don't have to use that much on each application. As of right now, my entire face is cleared up. I couldn't be happier knowing that the next time something starts to pop up, I am in good hands with this product.

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I dab a little of this product on my cystic pimples and overnight it drastically reduces the inflammation and really helps dry them out. Instead of waiting weeks for the pimple to surface now the heal time has almost dropped down to a few days. Although it is not an immediate cure, it really helps bring down the redness and swelling. This product works much better than the Mario Drying Lotion.

I decided to give this a try since its the only product I have found that claims to help with cystic acne. I find that it works best when you apply to cystic acne that is forming and it works well at minimizing its growth. I would recommend carrying it in your purse you can apply It as soon as you feel a cyst coming on. I don't think it does much to cysts that have already grown to full size.

Great product for deep cystic and regular acne. It works, but never use this one at the same time with other anti acne product because hyper dryness may occurs. Otherwise, it is safe and effective.

Buffering Lotion will work to diminish the actual cystic bumps but will not address skin discoloration. Once you are no longer experiencing active breakouts, our Brightening Kit is a great option to gently help reduce minor skin discolorations. http://www.ulta.com/brightening-kit?productId=xlsImpprod11351443

Always start with a fresh clean face and avoid putting any moisturizers or night creams on the areas that you have applied the Buffering Lotion to. 2-3 times a week, as an added spot treatment, you can apply a few drops of Buffering Lotion to affected areas under a thin layer of our DRYING MASK. After 15 minutes, rinse off, tone, and follow with another application of the Buffering Lotion. http://www.ulta.com/drying-mask?productId=xlsImpprod6200739

I have the drying mask and it's not quite getting rid of my spots - they're primarily whiteheads or closed comedones. I was wondering whether I should use this Buffering Lotion underneath the drying mask every night.

Also, the drying mask has been really drying out my skin so I don't want to purchase the drying lotion.

The Buffering Lotion is formulated to help treat deep, cystic acne. The Drying Lotion is formulated to help clear whiteheads that have already come to the surface of the skin. You can use both products each night on the different types of pimples, but you should not use both on the same area.

Our Buffering Lotion in combination with our Drying Mask (http://www.ulta.com/drying-mask?productId=xlsImpprod6200739) is the best solution. Apply a few drops of our Buffering Lotion on affected areas under the Drying Mask to create a more intensive treatment for troubled skin. After 15-20 minutes, remove mask and rinse well. Follow with toner and re-apply a few drops of our Buffering Lotion on those affected areas.

To give your makeup a dewy finish, spritz your favorite brush or sponge with our Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater before blending in foundation or concealer. We recommend this product for night use. You apply after cleansing and toning. SHAKE WELL before applying directly onto affected areas with clean fingertips. Use every evening. Do not apply anything over the Buffering Lotion (such as moisturizer or night cream). Do not use this as a preventative product; it should only be used when necessary on active blemishes.

Do not apply to eye area. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water.
