Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

Okay this will dry out your skin - that is a no brainer. BUT if you have tough, angry, inflame acne you will appreciate having this in your stash of skincare products. So after removing makeup, cleansing, moisturizing, and apply sunscreen this goes directly onto my acne at night. I wake up in the morning and rinse it off. This dried out my acne and I'm left with much smaller sized breakout and no new breakouts. LOVE!

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I suffer from painful cystic acne. Ya know, the ones that form painful knots under the skin, never surface into a pimple & are really red and noticeable. This stuff worked GREAT for those.. After about 2 days it had already gone done and I could barely feel it. It was however still red which is the only reason insider give 5 stars... I have the anti acne serum & the drying lotion but the buffering lotion has been my favorite for those cystic breakouts. I would definitely recommend it. It is a liquid but kind of feels like an oil when applying. Doesn't have much smell. It dries relatively clear so you could use during the day without your appearance being hindered, which I also like.

I tried this product after a friend recommended the line to me. I suffer from cystic acne in my early 20s. I have tried antibiotics, prescription creams, Rodan and Fields, and so many other expensive alternatives with no luck. This product helps my cystic acne surface and heal within a couple days. I have dry skin and it is still gentle enough for daily use. I am absolutely in love with the product and cannot wait to try more items in the brand.

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I remember using this product years ago when I would get my occasional large cyst pimple on my chin. I forgot all about it until I recently started getting them again and remembered I used the entire bottle so it must have worked. I'm so glad I re-purchased this, it seriously freaking works. I had a cyst coming, it was painful to touch and knowing my history I knew I would have to get a cortisone shot or else deal with the painful cyst for probably weeks. I put a few dabs of the buffering lotion in the morning and at night and within two days the inflamed painful cyst is gone! Yes this product is drying so I am now dealing with dry peeling skin in the area but I would much rather deal with that than the cyst. Also I must add I did also dab the drying lotion on at night and I think that helped speed up the process not entirely sure. Ladies or gentlemen if you are even reading this do not hesitate and just go buy it. You will not be disappointed.

I started using this product after using a toner and sensitive skin face moisturizer and this made all the difference! I get cystic acne on my cheeks a lot and use it on those spots every night. I find it best to use on a spot when you feel the pimple coming and it just doesn't show up anymore! When you catch it late it does take a couple days and still leaves scarring. This product is extremely expensive but I am definitely going to buy it again!

I really wanted to love this product. I bought it based on the rave reviews. It worked okay for me. It wasn't anything life-changing though. I would put it on any cystic breakouts that I got, and it wouldn't really do THAT much for it. It would still take 2-3 days before it shrunk down. In my opinion, hydrocortisone cream 1% works just as well to shrink the cystic acne, and you can get twice as much for half the price.

I have been getting adult acne and breakouts for the last few years and have tried everything including Rodan and Fields Unblemish. This lotion has been working so well over the past month that I also bought the Drying lotion and the Brightening kit. I'm seeing results that I never saw with R&F including reduced pore size and lightening of blemishes that are under the skin. My face looks great!

                • Q:

I have used the drying lotion and the silver powder for weeks with no results on my small hormonal acne. I know these arent supposed to work for cystic acne and they really dont, at least for me. Is the buffering lotion worth a try for the price? Im skeptical because the other two line products sit on my face and do absolutely nothing. Is there any thing else you recommend for cystic acne?

Our Buffering Lotion is a spot treatment specifically designed for deep, under the surface cystic acne. Our Anti Acne Serum is a great nightly treatment to reduce pore congestion and help keep breakouts at bay. You can also use the Drying Cream to target small areas of under the surface bumps. To avoid overdrying, use the Drying Cream sparingly and only on areas of concern.

Buffering Lotion is our go-to spot treatment for cystic acne, but it will not help to prevent it. First step it to make sure that you are on a daily skin care regimen that works for your skin type. Our Acne Starter Regimen Kit works best for oily, acne prone skin. Second step is to target the bumps as soon as you feel them starting to form. To take your spot treatment to the next level, we recommend applying a few drops of Buffering Lotion to affected areas under a thin layer of our Drying Mask. After 15 minutes, rinse off, tone, and follow with another application of the Buffering Lotion.

Do not apply anything over the Buffering Lotion (such as moisturizer or serum). Do not use this as a preventative product; it should only be used when necessary on active blemishes. I would suggest you "zone" the serums and the Buffering Lotion accordingly. To maximize the effectiveness of the Buffering Lotion, you can pair it with our Drying Mask. Apply a few drops of Buffering Lotion to affected areas under a thin layer of our Drying Mask. After 15 minutes, rinse off, tone, and follow with another application of the Buffering Lotion.
