    Amazing

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I have always had these little under skin bumps on my forehead that would never go away no matter what I would use, but after I used this once they were almost completely gone. It does smell a little weird, but it really works so I wouldn't care if it smelled like I had something dead on my face I would still use it

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I can honestly say that I am in a bit of a shock. THIS STUFF WORKS. I can't state that enough. Yes it's a little runny and yes it leaves that area of the skin dry. But I would much rather deal with that then a cyst on my face! I bought this bottle on 7/6/16 and the two cystic lesions I had are completely gone 1 1/2 weeks later. Normally they take about a month or longer to heal on their own. But they are gone. Wow. I would purchase this stuff again and again. But the cool thing is the bottle looks like it is barely touched, so it should last me awhile.

I have had cystic acne for 6 years now. It is incredibly difficult to deal with and I've tried so many different topicals but nothing has work as well as this. It reduces the inflammation almost overnight and typically brings the cysts to a head in a very short amount of time. It is a little difficult to apply since it is a liquid but I absolutely love this product!

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I have always been a fan of Mario Badescu. The brand has always worked really well with my skin (normal/oily). I started having hormonal breakouts and was desperate for a fix. I do take medication for my acne but do get breakouts still. The description on this product sounded amazing so I decided to try and it's one of the only spot treatments I've ever seen for cystic acne. I do feel like it works well. You need to apply it every night though. It does have alcohol in it so it is very drying. I put it on with a qtip and once it dries I dabbed some polysporin on top to prevent flaking. Will continue to use, everyone is different but you never know until you try!

This was recommended for cystic acne. I've never found an effective product so I decided to try this. This worked the first time I tried it. It's keeps developing cysts from becoming out of control. Drastically reduces the size and redness so that I'm able to cover them effectively with make up. Also drastically reduces the pain associated with this type of acne. If you suffer from cystic acne, I definitely recommend you try this product.

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I had a sudden break out of cystic/nodular-type acne and it was so painful that I was having to ice it down. I was desperate to find something to make it go away. I'd heard of Mario Badescu's skin care line and I decided to go to his website to see if there was anything that could help my issue. I found what I what I needed (and a few other things), checked to see if Ulta had it in stock, and headed straight there. Instructions state to use every night which is what I did starting that same night. The next day, my acne felt more stable; it had consistently been getting worse. But by the second day, my skin was not painful anymore and the cysts were shrinking. This product worked so quickly and efficiently. It does dry out the skin but that's kind of the point. It's a fair trade under the circumstances, don't you think? I'm so happy I made this purchase.

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I want to give it a few more cycles of use before truly making up my mind, but last month when my hormonal cysts started popping up, I dabbed this on to them several times a day using a tiny piece of cotton ball. This made them heal up within 4-5 days, instead of the normal month or two. Seriously impressed. My skin was dry right where the cysts had been, but I'll happily take a little dryness for a day or two instead of weeks of cysts!

Mario Badescu Drying Cream (Item #: 2209806) is a better option. It targets those small under-the-surface bumps you are experiencing. The Buffering Lotion is more for deep, large cystic bumps.

What moisturizer would you recommend before using this on cystic acne? I only have it along my jaw line(hormonal)...also what other products would you recommend I have normal/dry skin everywhere else on my skin?

                A:

On the nights you spot treat with Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion you can avoid a moisturizer - especially on your jawline where you are using the Buffering Lotion. Mario Badescu Regimen Kit Combo/Oily would be a great option. http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod6200817
Although your skin is not oily, since you do experience breakouts, you would benefit from the regimen.

Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion is designed as a spot treatment for combination/oily skin types. If you have extremely sensitive skin and usually react to products that help dry out blemishes, we would not recommend use.

I have been using the buffering lotion as an on-the-spot treatment for cysts, but is there anything I could use on my face to prevent cystic acne breakouts in the first place?

                A:

If you aren't extremely oily or acne prone, you should try The Regimen Kit Combination/Oily. If you suffer from acne all over and have very oily skin - Acne Starter Kit is a better option for you. You can also pair the Buffering Lotion with our Drying Mask . Apply the Buffering Lotion to the areas of concern and immediately apply the Drying Mask as instructed. Immediately re-apply the Buffering Lotion after removing the mask for an extra boost in fighting off cystic acne.

You can use the Buffering Lotion on your back and shoulders, as you would on your face. After cleansing, shake well and apply lotion using fingertips, concentrating on blemishes. Use every evening, 1-2 drops on affected areas.
