Most Helpful Positive Review excellent flat-top brush All other people have pretty much said what I wanted to say - it's a great tool for either liquid or powder foundation, soft and does not shed. My brush's handle came off the ferrule, it has a wooden handle so when it dries, it constricts. Glue takes care of this. Please do not be alarmed if the brush you bought is not 100% the same as the one you bought earlier - it seems that e.l.f. does not keep steady design. Handles are longer-shorter etc.
Most Helpful Critical Review Change it back! I bought this brush because a friend of mine had it, I feel in love with it because of the denseness of her brush. Unfortunately, when I purchased mine it was completely so soft that it barely picks up any of my bronzer. I must have missed out on the older version because this brush is not as dense as it used to be. Wish I could honestly get refunded because now I have no use for it.

I know it says power brush but I love using it as a foundation brush.
Great quality as always! 5

Love it for buffing in my mineral powder... this brush gives it a lighter application than a dense brush.
Highly recommended! 5

Best brush fir the money! I bought this one for my adult daughter after she asked what I used. Her husband noticed how natural she looked. Works with loose or pressed powder. Won't disturb liquid foundation. Easy to clean.
Great for powder foundation 5
Mars9 from Laredo, TX
I had this brush unopened in my stash for about three years bc had planned on using it with liquid foundation but have a few other flat top brushes so I hadn't gotten around to it until recently I've started wearing mineral powder foundation and the other night I decided to try this brush with a new loose mineral powder foundation and it's perfect, very soft but dense enough to provide coverage, it left my skin looking smooth and practically flawless, I also used it pinched it to carve out my contour with a brightening powder and it worked great for that too. This is a very good multitask face brush and the
price is right. A new staple in my makeup routine.
Liquid Brush 5
miagurl27 from Chicago,IL
I use it for my liquid foundation, it applies great and it's easy to blend. I've had it for years. it's also great for bronzer and blush.
Best powder brush ever 5
jrpower from Montpelier, VA
I've used this brush for years, I keep one at home and one in my gym bag make up kit. I've used more expensive brushes and they've ended up shedding. The price is amazing, and the bristles are the perfect shape, feel and softness for perfectly applying face powders be it powder base or setting powders! This is the best brush and I recommend it to friends, and have even bought them for gifts. I end up with an "air-brushed" matte look when my make-up is complete.
Re Purchasing After Years 5
Mary from New York, NY
I have been using this same brush for probably 6 years and I love it. I use it only for applying liquid foundation/ BB cream and it's perfect. I use light coverage foundations and it leaves an even finish. I like it better than my beauty blender as I feel the beauty blender lifts the foundation off if you stipple too much. This brush applies everything perfectly. It does shed but that doesn't bother me. I am repurchasing because it's so inexpensive and I feel like it's time to start fresh again.
Does the Job 5
ambercook233 from Houston Texas
not really much can go wrong with a powder brush. although it is has never had hairs falling off and mines an older one. still in tact! Sometimes I use it for blush too.
Great for mineral powder 5
ddanger from undisclosed
I use this for mineral powder and love it! The kind I use comes in tiny containers, so the stiffness that others have mentioned gives more control over how much product gets onto the brush.
It's okay 3
plizzy from NJ
Personally I had a pretty tough time applying powder with this. It didn't hold the product very well and I felt the shape was too awkward to apply it. Now I use the Kabuki brush instead
Great brushes for the price 5

May technically be a powder brush but... 5

I have used this brush for foundation and foundation only. I have found that my more dense designated foundation brushes have soaked up my product, therefore wasting product. But not this one, not only does is not soak up the product but it blends out my foundation like a DREAM. Elf brushes are completely underrated. You can't beat the price either. Highly recommend!!
Right size but has a smell 3
TriciaJ from Wylie, Texas
I bought this as a foundation brush. It is perfect. It has a smell. Like a gasoline or flammable smell.
Broke 3
Crystal from Michigan
Used one time and noticed it seemed wobbly where the brush connects to the handle. Grabbed to use second time and brush came off the handle. Otherwise it's a decent brush for the price... hopefully will last longer next time.
Foundation use 5

I use this brush for my cream foundations and it blends like a dream. I've never used it for powder but for foundations it's a go!
Bring back the original 3
Kikikea from undisclosed
I bought this brush for the first time over 6 years ago when it just came out and fell in love however over the years my repurchase have never been the same they are not as dense, shed quicker and flimsy. I would love to get the original again.
Scratched me 1
The bird chicken from Pasadena, CA
It scratched me... idk how tho sooo.
gets the job done, but sheds a bit 3
corpsesprinkles from WI
it does what I need it to do, at a reasonable price. however, it sheds a bit (an issue I haven't had with any of my other elf brushes.) also has a bit of a chemical smell I've been having issues getting out.
My Go-To Brush for Powder Foundation! 5
caramelshell10 from undisclosed
The ELF Powder Brush is amazing for powder foundation and blush. The description mentions its usage for wet products but I've yet to try that. One thing I love about this brush is that you can build up the amount of coverage you want on your face from light to medium-full coverage depending on the brand of foundation you're using. Did I mention how sturdy this brush it? It can withstand vigorous washing with dish soap and hot water. 10/10 would recommend this!!
One of my favs! 5
Zizi from New York, NY
I love this brush so much...when I first started wearing makeup I bought all kinds of expensive brushes and one day I decided to try this one and I fell in love...after 2 years the handle came out but I still use it and have a few back up just in case
For kids playing around.... 1
Tiffany from Detroit, MI
I bought this just to test it out. It's something I would give to my daughter to play with because it's not made very well and falls apart. The bristles come out a lot and when applying makeup I don't want to have to wipe my face or pick the little bristles off.
a longtime favourite 5
Elle234 from Canada
I've used this brush for many years and still love it. I've tried other powder bushes but none are as good as this for me, which is surprising for such an inexpensive brush. I can't lie around year two the glue keeping the top on came off so I've taped it but it's never shed on me. I use this to press powder into my skin and it's really soft and even.
inexpensive and does exactly what it claims 4
gimt from Flint, MI
I use this with my Neutrogena mineral pressed powder. I don't buff products into my skin, I prefer just to swirl the brush to pick up product and tap onto my face where I want coverage, then sweep to brush away any excess. Love it. Had it for around half a year now. Only con is I can definitely feel a spot in the brush starting to loosen up.. Like the glue's already getting ineffective?
BEST.BRUSHES.PERIOD! 5

Okay, I classify myself as a brand buyer because as a woman in my forties, my skin needs better quality products. That being said, these "Budget" brushes are phenomenal! They apply your makeup effortlessly! They do not lose bristles! They are super soft! What's not to love about that?! I will always, always, always choose Elf brushes!
