I received a free sample of this after placing an order for another Beekman product. Is it suppose to be like a hard, candle wax consistency? The travel size container it came in was less than half full, and it definitely wasn't a whipped cream.

How can this be clean, when it contains phenoxyethanol?

This is a widely used gentle, non-irritating preservative and is often used as it is not a natural formaldehyde-releaser. Gifted by Beekman 1802. I love the lavender scent this has. It smells like fresh lavender you would find in a field. I have a lot of redness and this has helped calm it down a bit. It is very hydrating without feeling heavy on my skin. I have loved adding this to my routine!
