Use on wet skin in gentle circular motions with your regular bath or shower products. Apply extra pressure to elbows, knees, ankles, feet and hands or where tan build up is obvious. To correct tanning mistakes, dampen skin then use your index finger inside the mitt and apply to the affected area.

- Official Answer By St. TropezThe Remover Mitt is great for any area that your tan may build up, or for a good exfoliation pre-tan. The armpit area can be dry for some of us. If this is the case, that area could absorb more tan, making it darker. Before tanning, be sure to remove all deodorant, then you can delicately apply lotion to that area, like you would hands, elbows, wrists, knees, feet and ankles. So I don't even use this in regards to tanning. I use it with my body scrub to get the best exfoliation of my life! I'm prone to ingrown everywhere I shave and o have not had ONE since I started using this. It gets all the dead skin off and my body is the softest it has been in FOREVER! Better than ...

Best product ever used for removing old tan
I was skeptical when I ordered this online but this has quickly become my favorite way to remove old self tan. The texture is fairly rough so some with sensitive skin may need to be gentle but if you use the mitt with some shower gel in the shower it scrubs everything right off. I dont even bother with sugar scrubs after using this.

THIS WORKS!! Use this with the St. Tropez tan remover mouse to clean those tan stained leg pores!! I tried everything else, this combo worked incredibly.
Great to use before Tanning
This works great at exfoliating my skin and getting off old tanner before reapplying then next day. I have also used it to help when I have added or not blended the tanner good enough on my feet or ankles. Would recommend to anyone who self tans!!
