Not a "sweet" scent at all!
On my skin nor when I smell the bottle directly, I do not get a sweet scent. I get musk (ambrette), licorice (heliotrope), and spicy pepper (orris). I don't smell the marshmallow at all, but I do get a hint of an artificial tart/sour type of candy. Nothing about this is light, soft, fresh, or sweet ...

Not SWEET on Me
I think body chemistry makes a great difference with this scent; its not sweet-smelling on me. It doesn't smell bad per se, but I get the musk more than the sweet marshmallow note. I intend to finish it, but I'm not impressed. Its also my first Ellis Brooklyn purchase & its labeled as a "fresh" scent. It might work for others though.
Sweet, Lightweight Fragrance
This is a very sweet and subtle fragrance. It reminds me of walking down the street and a breeze blows a light, homeade confection smell in the air from a bakery/candy shop. This is not a fragrance for you if you want to spritz in the morning and it still have a lasting scent when you return home at night. I always get compliments when wearing Sweet. I started with a travel spray and now am almost out of my larger sized bottle if that helps you with your purchase.

Its so delicate. Its very light but a little bit goes a long way. I get alot of compliments, such a delightful scent. I keep my rollerball in my car, its enough.

The name is somewhat misleading. "Sweet" isn't really its defining feature. It's sweet, but not too sweet. The sweetness is balanced by the subtle woody undertones. The affect is unique and unlike any other perfume I have tried. And it is long lasting, too. I could even smell it in my clothes after they were washed. I am obsessed and I want to smell like this, every single day.
