Ellis Brooklyn SUPER AMBER Eau de Parfum

I purchased this fragrance after reading that the notes were similar to L'Acquarossa by Fendi. This is not your typical heavily sweet, candy scented perfume. It is a well balanced mixture of sensual, warm, smokey and deep floral notes that I would recommend wearing at night, specifically during fall and winter months. It's more of a strong, confident and bold in your face statement perfume, not for every day casual perfume wearer, but more for the risk takers. I disagree that it smells like "old-lady" perfume. If you like " by the fireplace " by Replica, the original Dolce & Gabana that comes in red box, Bath and Body Works "Sweater Weather" or "COCO" by Chanel, then you'll love wearing this mysterious and sultry fragrance.

I'm so disappointed with this fragrance! I thought I would love this, especially after reading all of the wonderful reviews. Nonetheless, I'm definitely returning this. It just smells like... an old lady? It reminds me of a perfume my elderly aunt would wear or like something my mother would've worn when I was a child. The sweet/vanilla notes are far too faint as well. And to boot? It's lasting power sucks! It's been on my wrists for not even 2 hours and the more subtle or accenting notes are gone and you're just left with this "spiced alcohol" scent. On the other hand, the packaging is beautiful! That's the one compliment I can give, sadly.

Does not give the same vibes as the name and image implies. It has a very spicy almost pepper initial smell. Not at all a smooth warm amber tone. The smell is also very artificial I think that's what made it so nauseating for me. Good thing is, the smell faded pretty quickly but that also speaks to its longevity. If you're looking for a warm sensual cozy perfume I would highly recommend "fresh cream warm cashmere" from philosophy. It's a third of this price and smells SO much better.

My favorite scent right now and perfect for fall / winter / the holidays. Solid, clean amber scent at the forefront with spicy and woodsy hints that linger. Every time I wear it I get compliments! I love amber but had never smelled this before buying and took a chance based on the other reviews here. Worth the risk!

I want to smell like this perfume for the rest of my life.
