Q
Hi, my sister has been considering purchasing a new skincare set that she can integrate into a routine! She's previously seen a dermatologist and was given a routine that included a gentle cleanser (twice daily), a spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide, a medicated cleanser in the morning, and a nighttime cream for skin renewal. Would this be a good option? She has sensitive and combination skin. Any recommendations to help keep her acne under control?

Thanks for contacting Dermalogica. It's always best to consult your physician first and foremost when starting a new product. With that said, salicylic acid 2% and under is generally considered safe. You can use just about every product we carry with the exception of anything containing retinol. Our recommendation would be to first start with our Discover Healthy Skin Kit. Q
I've tried the ultra calming kit. I loved the way it made my skin feel. I have redness and combination skin. But after using this I got a few break outs. What do you recommend?
Asked by Ab
Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand Engage
Thanks for contacting Dermalogica. If you are experiencing new breakouts first make sure that you have no allergies or contraindications to the products themselves. If you previously used the UltaCalming Kit and had great results, we recommend sticking with what worked best for you! Breakouts can be a result of a few things, however, you can also try breakout clearing products (i.e. breakout clearing booster) if you feel they are a result of stress, diet, or even hormones. I am blown away by how well this kit worked for me, and I truly saw a major improvement after one use. I can't believe how quickly my dry, bumpy rosacea afflicted skin was soothed and even glowed with a dewy (not greasy) complexion I haven't see since my teens. I had previously used La Roche Posay T...

I have sensitive skin with psoriasis and rosacea and some popular brands are too strong and cause my face to burn (due to all the acids) or feel itchy, but not these! I bought this pack to try the line based off my facialist recommending them and I didn't want to commit to the larger sizes at first, and I've noticed such a difference on how my skin looks and feels after 2 weeks of using it!
