So Close Yet So Far

Okay, I really wanted to love this because I use so many Innersense products (Hair bath, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, hairspray, prep spray, etc.) and I love them all so much. But this did not work for me at all. I have lots and lots of medium hair that gets very, very oily very quickly, I ...am a new mother in the process of training my hair to go longer between washes and I live for dry shampoo. But I also don't like using products with toxic ingredients. So, I was really excited to try this since I've had so much success with everything else Innersense. But not only did it fail to work at all, it made it worse. I watched all the tutorials to make sure I was applying it correctly and, no matter what I did, what little body/volume I had in my hair after 3 days without washing was stifled and it flattened my hair instantly. I've tried using it on the second day, hoping that it would work with less oil to tackle and it still made it worse. I don't feel like it's absorbed any oil at all, it doesn't look like it has either. It just feels like I've put on some product that weighs my hair down. Plus, I don't know how I feel about it not technically being a dry shampoo since it makes my roots wet. But not wet enough so that by the time I go to blow dry my hair, it's dried and flattened my hair. I don't iron my hair very often; but when I do, this “dry” shampoo wrecks any hope of decent second day curls/waves since, like I said, it's wet. I'm giving it two stars only because the smell is absolutely amazing and it is an actual non-toxic product rather than just claiming to be one. But, for me, that's the only thing it has going for it.
