Get your perfect foundation match every time with L.A. Girl Pro Matte Mixing Pigment. Each color adjusts your foundation tone for your best match.
Precautions: If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
I was skeptical about these pigment mixers (I have a hard time getting foundations to work well on me) but after reading the reviews I thought I would try it, and I'm so glad I did. I have a Medium/neutral olive undertone and have had the hardest time for years to find a shade that closely matches me. I found a foundation formula that I like, Physicians Formula in MW2. The texture of this foundation is perfect; natural finish and looks like you're not wearing makeup, wears well and doesn't break up, light to medium coverage. The shade is a bit pink for me so I decided to get the L.A. girl pigments in yellow and blue. After reading one of the reviews here that mentioned adding blue and yellow will make an olive/green undertone, I thought this was perfect because I have a green undertone but most makeups don't come close to actually having that shade. After playing with the pigments in my foundation it blew me away, I finally found a way to make a green undertone (albeit a bit too green the first time around lol but it actually matched and if I add less blue it works out fine). As far as changing the texture goes, it did seem to thicken it just a bit but not too noticeable and probably a benefit for this foundation because it is more of a light to medium coverage and I noticed that I didn't have to add or layer foundation like I have before, so this was good for me. It never hurts to try so If you love a foundation formula but need it in a different shade definitely try this, it's not very expensive and for today's date that I'm writing this it's on sale so I got a good deal when I bought it yesterday. I'm so happy I can make my own shade :).
So I purchased the blue mixer because I'm a medium-tan skin tone and almost every foundation I've tried is far too yellow or orange on me. I was hoping the blue would help cool down the strong yellow undertones in my foundations a bit. It does cool them down, but the problem is that it gives them a green tint and makes them an olive undertone instead. I guess that makes sense since blue and yellow make green. I tried adding less but even when I did, it was either not enough to tone down the strong yellow undertones, or it would make the foundation far too olive for me. Maybe I haven't found the perfect ratio for mixing, or maybe I should try the white mixer instead. Also, I've found that the mixer has a dry, matte finish that makes my foundation look a bit cakey. If you use it on a foundation that isn't matte, it'll turn the foundation in to a matte finish. I tried it on my L'Oreal Freshwear foundation and it made it matte even though it's supposed to be a radiant foundation. I've also found that it makes my matte foundations even more matte, which is what happened when I tried it on my Maybelline Superstay. It works better with matte foundations in my opinion, but I will say it made my Maybelline Superstay, which is normally my favorite foundation, look far more dry/cakey and harder to blend when I mixed it. I don't know if I'll repurchase, but if I do, I may try the white mixer next.

I am so glad this product got back in stock because it helps so much with making certain foundation shades I have become more cool-toned. I purchased the blue foundation mix in pigment and if you have trouble with your foundation always being too warm/orange toned this really helps to make it lighter/more cool toned. Does not make my foundation look blue at all on my skin tone like some other mix in mediums I have tried which is great. Little amounts of this product go a long way too.

It is not to thick but it's also not too thin. I got the blue shade and it cancels out yellowish orange very well. I would highly recommend this product!

This pigment addition and it's blue counterpart saved me from looking orange.
