I'm trying to understand the difference between this product....the silkening mist vs the shine spray. By reading the "how to use" you apply both products "after" styling so that means on dry hair. I'm looking for a product that adds shine, doesn't weigh your hair down as I have fine straight hair. Another question, do you apply this product before or after using hairspray?

Wonderful shine!
This works as a great finishing product by producing a radiant shine with light hold. Smells great too! I had tried Kenra's other shine spray, but this one has so much more shine. I have very thick, wavy hair that I straighten and this product leaves my hair feeling silky.Tah

Just OK orhers I like better
Does give shine and sprays good mist but the smell is not great and I just prefer one by Big Shiny Hair which is a hair and body oil mist that smells of roses. This does give shine as it says but I was not blown away by results and will get the other brand when this is gone

I had used this at least 25 years ago especially during the winter time since the air is so dry. Can't remember why I had stopped. But for me it helps with the flyaways. Thank you Ulta for having this product. Will continue to buy from you all.
My favorite finishing product
I lightly spray to crown, bangs and ends for shine and frizz control. Tidies up my ends making them look more freshly cut and sleek. Smooths my hair without being greasy or heavy. Use lightly as you can overdo it. I also love the smell! Cotton candy type smell I think. But it works well to calm those fine baby hairs to the crown postpartum too before applying any hairspray. I find using this beforehand I use very little light hold hair spray and my hair doesnt feel or look like ive used hairspray at all. I really wont go without this stuff.

I use this spray for special occasions or when I want to do a little something for myself. It just puts a shine on your hair. I use it on top of my regular hairspray. It is non-greasy and lasts until your next shampoo. A little goes a long way. I have gotten compliments on my hair after using it. I've given it as a gift as well.
