A Fantasticly Light Lip Oil with a Hint of Tint

I received this item in exchange for a review. If I receive an item without cost and am reviewing it, can you really trust my review? Yes, of course! How do you know? Let me tell you.... I received this item and, right away, I noticed the shade matched the online image. Buying any tint online can be... tricky, because it may not match well. The image was a very good representation of the product's color. I noticed that the color may have been a little darker than I wear sometimes, but I tried it on. Several things I found at that point: 1) the lip oil was light feeling on my lips; 2) the color was "just right"; 3) there was no pomegranate taste but a light and pleasant vanilla scent; 4) this is very moisturizing. 1) Light-Feeling Lip Oil Lip oil is not necessarily my favorite lip cosmetic/moisturizer. I've had lip oils that drip down my face and chin, and I've had lip oils that are sticky (don't go out in the wind!), like a lip gloss. This lip oil stays in place and is light. It is not sticky and tacky like some are. 2) "Just Right" Shade Looking at the color, I expected the it to be much darker than it was. I'm usually do not wear dark lipstick during the day, but I thought I would give this shade a try when I received it. Although it looked darker in the bottle, the shade when I applied it was light and served to enhance my existing lip color, which is a light to medium pink. I have even tried this on top of a lip color, and it gives the blotted lipstick a nice glow and a depth that the lipstick alone doesn't give to my lips. 3) No Weird Sweet Fruity Flavor Although the color is "pomegranate" the lip oil is not flavored; there was no pomegranate taste. This is, frankly, a relief, because I appreciate that I am not buying a cosmetic based on flavor but on shade and performance. I left the fruit-flavored sweet lip glosses behind years ago. This lip oil is generally flavorless with a light and pleasant vanilla scent. This scent/flavor is consistent among the other shades in this line. If I did want to purchase other shades, the only variable I'm dealing with is color. 4) Very Moisturizing without Going too Far This lip oil is very moisturizing. I have had some lip moisturizers that don't last well, and other lip moisturizers that actually make me break out around my lips. I have not noticed any adverse side effects in the surrounding skin, but my lips feel very moisturized with this product. I feel like my lips get a little conditioning with this product on. I can't say that I have used this product enough to notice any plumping; it may plump over time, but I haven't noticed a loss of lip volume like it advertises. Overall, I would highly recommend this lip oil. It's a great lip color enhancement while delivering a really workable, non-tacky, and useful moisturizer. I am looking at the other shades to add to my collection!
